Outlaw IPA is now available at the Two Brothers Tap House. It uses two new hop varieties. Caramel malt undertones, floral hop notes, soft and pleasant.

From a can into a Silly Scotch chalice. Pours clear amber with big head and lace. Aroma of grains and malts. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of amber malts, minerals, caramel, straw hops, slight pine hops, floral hops...overall rich and tasty with a little funky astringency at the end.

Mild aroma of caramel and earthy, grassy, floral hop. Flavor follows suit; a little pepper also. Somewhat thin mouthfeel. Slight bit of earthy, grassy, floral hop bitterness in finish and aftertaste. Easy to drink, pleasant - yet ultimately very average - IPA.

Nice, solid if uneventful IPA. I do like this one. Quite a bit actually. Very well balanced. But, at the end of the day, it’s one of many such IPAs. If you see it on the shelf, buy it. Not worth a trade, however.

Draft at Washington Commons, Brooklyn. Pours a golden orange with a white head that holds. very floral nose - some citrus/orange but mainly floral hops and caramel. Taste is a nice floral hop bitterness. Not a fruit driven IPA, good for a change.

Comes in a can (+) Lots of bitter hops and is reasonably strong, I think I’ve been spoiled by two brothers because this was just ok. I wouldn’t turn one down, but I wouldn’t seek one out. Maybe think about changing the name to mid-level manager, living in an upper-middle class neighborhood, with a cul-de-sac, who’s kids go to public school. That’s borderline edgy i guess. Have fun fitting it on the can.

Poured from can with a swirl date of 6/14/2014 - about 3 1/2 months past this date. Aroma - Not too appealing...hopefully due to the age. Appearance - Looks like a decent beer. Had a good finger of creamy head. Taste - Too much caramel taste - nothing to brag about....but the age isn’t helping either. Palate - leaves a taste I really don’t care for here....meh. Overall - should have this beer earlier and maybe it would have received a higher rating...overall very meh.

Can into a tulip. Orangeish-golden, quite clear, small white head. Light resin, some grapefruit, citrus. Medium bitterness initially, stronger sweetness than the average IPA. Medium long, reasonably dry finish. Lighter body, some oiliness. Quite a bit of acidity on the tongue, some carbonation. Good, not great.
