2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bomber. Deep brown body with ruby highlights. Fizzy, off-white head. Aroma of char, barnyard, brett, roasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Light acidity. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lightly tart finish. Taste of roasted grain and lacquer. Odd flavor — the roast and bitter hops are at odds with the funk.

Poured a beautiful dark color that lit up terrifically under light to a deep ruby red. Notes were of yeast and malt. The taste combined the yeast with slight hops and grass.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A black saison that brown interesting. Pours a medium to dark cloudy brown, but far from the hue of a black IPA or imperial stout. An incredibly pungent funky brett aroma with notes of horse blanket, oak and chocolate. Moderate to faint sourness on the palate with dense carbonation

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I rather enjoyed this. Very mild oak and mild sour(brett) flavor. I think the sweetness countered the sour a little and made it less tart. A fuller bodied fuller mouth feel sweeter version of a mildly sour flemish brown. Serving: Bottle

22 oz. bottle. Pours brown black copper color with a nice tight soapy white head that dissipates to a wispy film and collar. Aroma has a nice farmhouse scent with some light citrus and malt notes which consist of lemon and fresh baked bread. Taste has subtle funky farmhouse along with a gentle tart brett flavor and bitterness and some plum dark fruit notes along with some roasted malt. Palate has a full and drying finish. Quite nice and unique!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle from West Lakeview Liquors. Pours a lightly hazed, glowing deep ruby-brown colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, light tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is really interesting. Some bretty funk, a lightly sweetened bready malt backing, an array of fruits with plums, pears, and somewhat tart cherries, a moderate oak, a touch of roast, a light peppery spicing, and some hibiscus flowers. Flavor is similar. Light funk and fruit notes with plums and pears up front before a lightly sweetened, bready malt backing comes in. Some flowers, oak, a bit of a peppery yeast spicing, and a light cheesiness in the middle before this finishes dry and lightly bitter with a light cherry tartness, some funk, a light roast, wood, a light cocoa, pepper, and a light malt sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-light body and a moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a really interesting and unique beer with a lot going on. Some funk, barrel notes, yeasty pepper, bready malts, cocoa, dark fruits with a bit of a tartness, roast, and flowers all balanced really well with nothing being too prominent. Dry and pretty clean with a light sweetness keeping this easy drinking and enjoyable. Solid beer.
