Prairie Path Ale is a Belgian-style golden ale. Prairie Path Ale is a full flavored, slightly bitter, clean and refreshing ale. The Belgian malts along with the Saaz and Goldings hops give this beer great drinkability.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a fair head and spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, light malt sweetness and grass. Taste of citrus, bit of malt sweetness and grain. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, crisp and refreshing, has a nice clean feel to it. Enjoyable beer, goes best with a hot day.

Final beer of a Two Brothers haul I pulled in recently (my SW MO craft carrier just got beers in of this IL brewery for the first time). So far, Iíve been happy with the beers. Golden ale is not a "wower" type of style, but it has its place, and I was curious to see if this was a good example of such. Appearance: not bad. Bright gold with sizable, if not long-lasting, head, and average lacing. Aroma: light; earthy hop with minor malt backing. Taste: nothing until mid palate when thereís some grain, but the final notes merge the grain with a nice earthy hop bitterness that lingers for quite a bit. I mean earthy in the best possible way and not the dirty type of earthiness I often find in, say, wheat ales. Great palate, finish, and lingering notes. Definitely one of the better golden ales Iíve had. Itís light, as the style is supposed to be, but also flavorful. Happy with Two Brothers so far. Willing to try more of their stuff.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Brilliant bright golden ale with pure white head. Light aroma. Taste is gentle sweet malt with grass and cereal in the finish. Iím not a huge fan of the style but this is very well executed and very tasty.

On tap poured into a shaker. A light combination of buttery toast, light lemongrass spiciness, a touch a floral and a bit of honey linger in the air above the beer. Itís a clear yellow-brown color with a light, fluffy, but soapy head. It reduces quickly to a very thin ring, with no surface, and leaves a light lace. Not an unappealing look, but nothing to brag about either. Itís taste is a combination of medium, buttery sweet with a light bitter finish. The medium bodied, oily textured beer has a light, fizzy carbonation to it. It finishes with buttered toast, lemon and grass, with a bit of a clove spice and resin to it. The aftertaste is a dry grassy taste that lingers for awhile.

Pours a hazy golden with a thicker eggshell head that settles to a thicker ring and leaves plenty of intricate, spotty lace. Nose has some earthy, leafy, and lightly spicy noble hop character, some doughy yeast, some soft fruity notes, just a nice delicate nose. Somewhat sweet, fairly bitter, nice balance. Lighter body, softer carb, a bit oily, with a dusty hop finish. Enjoyable as a lighter (and gluten-removed) style.

Soft, honey-sweet aroma. Clear oakwood gold, short and collapsing white head. Standard longneck, too much going on on the label. Sweet, malty, mouthy, interesting bittering. A certain salt and pepper savory thing at times at times. Medium body, I could be persuaded that it might lean towards heavy. Caramel notes in the finish. Nothing too fancy, just a decent and straight up brew. Whole Foods, TLH, bottle.
