3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear chestnut pour with a 1 finger, creamy tan head that has good retention. Aroma is caramel, muted tree fruit, sweet citrus, dull, but fresh pine, and hints of hop spiciness and pine. Flavor is caramel, mild almost cashew toffee-like nutty and buttery notes, smooth, sweet and toasty woody notes, a little bready yeast, sweet, cooked tree fruit, a hint of caramelized stone fruit and toasted pine. Medium body, lightly chewy to lightly syrupy entry, bordering on dry, medium, blanketing and sharp carbonation and dry, slightly astringent finish. This stuff is really good, though despite many possible descriptors nothing stands out very strongly in the flavor, or aroma. That makes it seem somewhat plain despite being pretty flavorful and extremely well balanced. It’s weird... Dangerously drinkable, nearly on par with Hopslam and very few others, in that regard.

12 oz bottle from notes. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have orange citrus and pine resin hops, caramel, toasted bready malts, moderate bitterness that lasts through the finish, solid beer from these guys.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Standard longneck, clear ruby-brown beer with a one finger almost-white head. Decent label. Spritzy grapefruit, tannic aroma. A little raw in the acidity, lot of grapefruit flavors, some caramel, some plastic. Too acidic. Mouthy. Red ales are just immature AIPA’s. New Leaf Market.

Interesting. Not too hoppy but malty and very alcoholic which is to be considered carefully. Nice shape and taste.

Bottle from Lemon Tree, Nov. 2013. First rating I’m typing from an Android pad, so excuse my spelling. Warm alcohol and malt smell under the shows a bit of phenols, so it’s getting a bit old. Brown color, but clear body, per the usual 2Bros style. Taste is full of the usual Crystal malts and a light dose of hops. Like a little brother to a Bigfoot Barley wine. The Imperial red ale just may become one of my new favorite styles. This beer comes across just fine but it does need to be drunk fresh.

Draft pour at Clark street ale house. Pine and grapefruit aroma. This beer is massive. Bursts with flavors of citrus grapefruity orange peel and very bitter. Makes your cheeks pucker. Enjoyable but only one please

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle from Proof bottle shop. Orange-red pour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet toasty, citrus, pine. Tastes are toffee, little dark fruit, earthy, resin, floral, little candy sweetness. Finishes lightly bitter and tinny. Feels a touch warm. Pretty nice overall. More of a sipper (got a six pack before I knew that).

this one poured a medium red color with an off white head. Aroma was of bitter hops, caramel, and alcohol. Falvor was similar, bitter, yet cardboardy and sweet. Typical impy red.

Panama City Beach, Fl - Kwiker Liquors #2 - 12 oz bottle. Deep dark brown pour, thin, but persistent off-white head that leaves a nice film of lacing. Pungent aroma with some cherry-like sweetness, some brandy-like booziness, a touch of spruce. Flavor is bold with strong maple syrup notes, a touch of chocolate, some apricot fruitiness, a brief wisp of boozy brandy. Mouthfeel is thick and full. Pretty solid.
