Dark amber color with basically no head. Aroma is roasted malt and alcohol. Taste is bitter, a combo of pine and grapefruit, with a serious backbone of sweet malt. The ABV is pretty apparent in the taste. Good stuff.

12oz bottle from Proof bottle shop. Orange-red pour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet toasty, citrus, pine. Tastes are toffee, little dark fruit, earthy, resin, floral, little candy sweetness. Finishes lightly bitter and tinny. Feels a touch warm. Pretty nice overall. More of a sipper (got a six pack before I knew that).

this one poured a medium red color with an off white head. Aroma was of bitter hops, caramel, and alcohol. Falvor was similar, bitter, yet cardboardy and sweet. Typical impy red.

Panama City Beach, Fl - Kwiker Liquors #2 - 12 oz bottle. Deep dark brown pour, thin, but persistent off-white head that leaves a nice film of lacing. Pungent aroma with some cherry-like sweetness, some brandy-like booziness, a touch of spruce. Flavor is bold with strong maple syrup notes, a touch of chocolate, some apricot fruitiness, a brief wisp of boozy brandy. Mouthfeel is thick and full. Pretty solid.

Almost a ruby red pour. Creamy off-white head. Plenty of lacing. Smell is a nice big malty assault followed by a vanilla note and a slight hop presence. Sweet, rich malty flavor with a nice bitterness in the back. Some hop flavor with citrus notes.

12oz bottle in large tulip glass (lot 3053) - nose is well advertised: malt, citrus, resin and pine. Sip adds nothing in the aroma department. Light body considering the high ABV. Very bitter but short lasting and offset with sweetness. I get the impression Iím drinking resin water.

Pours deep, dark, & coppery with a medium with a decent off white head. Aroma is sweet rich malts. Taste is rich malts up front quickly coating the palate with deep sweetness - almost oily. The finish is bitter and long with a flash of candy sugar. Good one.

Pours clear dark copper with frothy khaki head, nice lacing. Maple sugars, plum and pine nose. Plum, caramel malt sweetness, some herbal notes, drying bitterness on the finish. Heavier bodied and a bit boozy. Solid enough ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

draft. Sweet and candylike beer, has a pretty big hop presence with grapefruit and fruity candies.

Draft at Drafting Room Exton. Pours hazy ruby with minimal head. Nose was vinous fruit, hops, caramel malt. Tasted of caramel malt, hops, some vinous fruit, but the hops didnít pop. Seemed a bit flat also. Not bad, but not a world beater.
