COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Buddy, pal, mate, brother (or sister) from another mother, compadre . . . sidekick. All of these are ways to describe someone or something that is always at your side. Sidekick extra pale ale is one of those things. This golden colored ale is loaded with juicy citrus and passion fruit hop aroma yet balanced with malt and hop character. A true companion.

Can. Pours a pale golden with a big soapy off-white head. Aroma is clean grassy, citrusy hops on a light crisp body. Light crispy body with a mild bitterness and floral notes. Very light and quaffable session beer.

Nice hoppy citrus pale ale. Clean and refreshing. Slightly bitter but with a very pleasant fruity hop feel that dissipates quickly leaving you reaching for more. Well done ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from Good Beer. Pours a clean, clear pale gold with a finger of white head that doesn’t stay to visit for very long. Nose is candied grapefruit rind, bitter and birch-y. Some grass. Zesty, bitter taste. Slightly metallic finish. Lots of flavor for a 5.1% abv beer, but something about this kicks a bit too hard.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2013 16oz pint (Fox & Hound) Pours a clear goldenwith a small white head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Taste of grapefruit, hops, and malt. This medium bodied is not bad but a bit too much grapefruit.

Pour from a 12 oz can. Fantastic aroma of tart fruit - pear, green apple - and mango, grass. Crystal clear yellow brew with fluffy white head. Taste is light sweet malt offset by tart fruit, start to finish with a little more grass in the end. Light and crisp with moderate carbonation. Refreshing light flavor. Most excellent APA.

big grassy, citrus hop notes, along with a bit of fruitiness. really nice clear light golden color, like a german helles lager. generous, foamy head, which holds on well. solid malt flavor, nice and clean, with some hop flavor, but not exceedingly bitter. solid medium body. the aftertaste has a lingering hop-juice flavor, which isn’t really my thing. all in all, a very good american pale ale.

Pours a very clean straw color with a dense, white foamy head. Aroma has a good dose of lemon and grapefruit with a modest amount of pale malt in the background. Flavor is pretty hoppy for a light alcohol brew. Notes of lemon and light grapefruit, some light tropical fruit late in the tasting. Malt is there but not a focal point of the brew and adds a light sweetness to it late. Body is very light with some light fizzy feel. Overall a pretty tasty beer. No overbearing flavors and pretty well balanced.

Extra from rxeight. Thanks, Al! Huge juicy citrus nose...like peeling an orange...and some grassiness. Very clean and smooth just great balance. Terrific sessioner.
