No doubt for the great ratings on this brew. A bit thin but big on taste really well balanced with a nice aroma and taste of citrus. Not overly hopped as one expects in an IPA but complements the smooth malt. Excellent brew

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a pale haze with a thin white head. The head just hangs around. Aroma is citrus, hops, and grass. Lots of grapefruit on the nose. Taste is spicy, a medium bitterness with a medium body. Lively carbonation with a long bitter finish. This is good stuff.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden with thin lasting white head; aroma is slightly grainy and slightly hoppy with hints of crude oil; flava is very complex from start to finish: grainy and slightly tart, then hoppy and tart, then hoppy in the finish; feels thin and fizzy; finishes dry slight tart notes.(tartness is of citrus)

12 oz can poured into a Stone IPA stemmed glass. At first, a grapefruit citrus and pine note hit the nose in strength, and, as the head settles, aromas of toffee and toast with a touch of lime / tonic water poke through. Near the middle of the glass, as it warms up some, the toast disappears and a light spice character emerges with a juicy, tropical (passion fruit) note. It pours a hazy straw yellow with a soft, rocky white head of varying bubble sizes. It retains well with a decent layer of head remaining, with only a couple small breaks, and leaves an ok amount of messy lace. The taste is a medium / medium-high bitterness with a medium sweetness, and a very light sour note. By mid bottle, the bitterness mellows out some and the sweet malts are a bit stronger; the sour note also disappears. There’s lots of lightly fizzy carbonation giving the otherwise watery texture a touch of creaminess. It’s a medium bodied beer that finishes with a pine and grass character as well as a resin mouthfeel. By mid bottle, more caramel and passion-fruit juiciness show up, but the finish remains mostly dry and clean. The aftertaste is fairly short and mellow with a lime and tonic water characters and a touch of pine and/or grass.
