Buddy, pal, mate, brother (or sister) from another mother, compadre . . . sidekick. All of these are ways to describe someone or something that is always at your side. Sidekick extra pale ale is one of those things. This golden colored ale is loaded with juicy citrus and passion fruit hop aroma yet balanced with malt and hop character. A true companion.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2013 Bottle. Clear gold. Good head and lacing. Aroma is excellent . Had some sweetness to go with the classic pale ale tastes. Grapefruit. Smooth and balanced, not overpowering or mindblowing.

Very pale straw coloured pour with a thin white head. The aroma is amazing - bright aroma with a nice lemony citrus aroma and a bit of herbal and kiwi aroma. Fresh and fruity. Very bright and clean. A zesty and very tasty brew. Delicious.

Best by January 30, 2014.
Appearance: The body is golden with perfect clarity. The head is tall and persistent, but appears a bit thin. The head slowly settles into a frothy white coating.
Aroma: Mango is the first thing that comes to mind, this is a very tropical aroma with a light floral edge to it and orange juice aromas. I love the smell of mango, I do wish this were a bit more pungent though.
Taste: The intro is light with a dry floral and toasted malt presence, but the mid-taste brings in orange juice and mango flavors. The bitterness is mild, and the finish is quick and dry. This is an enjoyable pale ale.
Palate: Light bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: This is a solid as heck pale ale, I thoroughly enjoy it. I would love this for sessioning, but unfortunately it’s not easily available in my area. Well done though, this is a great beer.
