COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Buddy, pal, mate, brother (or sister) from another mother, compadre . . . sidekick. All of these are ways to describe someone or something that is always at your side. Sidekick extra pale ale is one of those things. This golden colored ale is loaded with juicy citrus and passion fruit hop aroma yet balanced with malt and hop character. A true companion.

Pours clear light golden yellow with a nice sized white head. The aroma has floral / powdery / tropical fruit / dank hops and a bit of mild caramel malt in the back for just enough balance between the hops and malt. It has a medium / light crisp body that has nice unobtrusive carbonation. The flavor starts off with dry caramel malt, pine, grapefruit, spice and dry toastiness. The finish has biting grapefruit zest, earthiness and dry maltiness. Really enjoyable pale ale.

Sharp pine and citrus notes from aroma. Pine and citrus in the flavor as well, but in a mellower way. Very floral also. Bitter hop finish. Light body makes it easy to session. While this has a little more pine than I’d ordinarily like, and less malt, it’s balanced enough by the citrus and floral aspects so that it’s not an annoyance. Couple that with the drinkability, and I can see why this is a fairly highly rated APA.

Pours a sightly hazy yellow/gold with a smallish head. Nice aromas of peach and orange. The aromas continue in the taste with a slight bitterness. Very refreshing, well made beer.

Location: Draft at Haymarket, 5/28/14

Aroma: The nose is solid, some fruity hops, grass, and a bit of spice
Appearance: Pours an unclear orange-gold color with a thin beige/off-white head
Flavor: Tastes similarly, with clean hoppy flavors, fruity, leans hoppy, solidly balanced though
Palate: The body is light-medium, pretty easy drinking and sessionable brew
Overall Impression: Another solid offering from Two Brothers. Looks like this one is canned, which makes sense, as this feels like a good canned beer. Liked it.

Can at my house . Pleasant grassy aroma. Easy to drink ale. Not too bitter, not too fruity. Definitely makes a good sidekick

Can @ the Dukes. Pours a clear gold with small white head. Aroma is super fresh melon, kiwi, cantaloupe, guava, loads of tropical fruit hop, some grass & pee. Flavor is light melon, citrus, grass hop, light malt. Light bright and crisp, finishes with lightly bitter hop.
