COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Buddy, pal, mate, brother (or sister) from another mother, compadre . . . sidekick. All of these are ways to describe someone or something that is always at your side. Sidekick extra pale ale is one of those things. This golden colored ale is loaded with juicy citrus and passion fruit hop aroma yet balanced with malt and hop character. A true companion.

On tap at the brewery, meaning it may a bit different than from the can, what? Light color, thin head. A fruity hop smell with notes of pine, the usual. Taste has that strong ícatboxí smell I always equate with my first Amarillo hopped beer (Gumballhead). But Iím told itís from a dry hop with Citra. Otherwise, has a bit of a stone fruit note and more resin. And, somehow, pine wood. Yeah, Iím describing hops instead of malt here.

Can at my house . Pleasant grassy aroma. Easy to drink ale. Not too bitter, not too fruity. Definitely makes a good sidekick

Can @ the Dukes. Pours a clear gold with small white head. Aroma is super fresh melon, kiwi, cantaloupe, guava, loads of tropical fruit hop, some grass & pee. Flavor is light melon, citrus, grass hop, light malt. Light bright and crisp, finishes with lightly bitter hop.

Bright yellow in color, pretty clear, very airy and spritsy, with practically no head, this beer looks every part light and refreshing. It could easily play the part of a tropical beach refreshment. The nose is sweet and grainy with some earthy, citrusy notes. Itís really light, refreshing, and fruity, and the flavor is just as delightful. Itís smooth, wet, and clean - a great palate cleanser! What a great hop profile for such a light beer!

Can, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours a nice hazy pale straw color with a fluffy white head and some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is hop forward, really grassy with some nice tropical fruit. Simple but very inviting for sure.

The flavor is pretty nice, way over-run by juicy hops with a touch of floral bitterness. Generally itís a pretty cool low bitterness/low sweetness pale ale... that said there is a touch of sweetness up front. Other than that itís lots of citrus, passion fruit, & melon.

Geeze, this is way way better than the Outlaw stuff.

Smooth clear gold ale with an easy flavor with just a touch of a bitter long finish. Easy to drink.

Better on tap than in the can. On tap--super bright aroma and flavor of citrus, floral, and a bit of grassy hops. A bit of malt balances it out--not a face-twister. Solid pale ale.

12 ounce can. A big fluffy white head. The beer is very clear light golden and has a bit of carbonation floating up. The aroma is full of pineapples and tropical fruit. Just a bit of dry bitterness is tasted first. Grapefruit slowly builds and is dominant but never big. Malts are soft. A tad bit of pepper. Pineapple is tasted late. This beer is a little light on the flavor but what is tasted is nice. Also, I like the low ABV.

12oz bottle. Golden color with white head. Grapefruit aroma and a little earthy. Taste is more earthy and a little watery taste. Not bad.

[Bottle] Darker golden color with a soapy white head. Potent citrus and dank hop aroma is inviting. Tasting notes include citrus, fruit, grass, lemon and floral hops. Milder pale malts round out the flavor. Nicely balanced. A nice brew overall.
