3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle out of a six pack. I have seen quite a few Two Brothers brews on the shelf and decided to give this one a shot. It pours a light orange color with a very small off white head that disappears quickly. The aroma was pretty boring for an APA... it consisted of light fresh hops and a hint of pine. The taste was also fairly bland with fresh hops and maybe a bit of citrus. Finishes very smooth and is very easy to drink. This is a very sessionable beer and would be great to kick back a few on a hot summer day... just donít expect anything too exciting.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. BB 03/02/14, so its probably older than you would want a pale. Pours a lighter amber with a foamy white head. Smell is grapefruit rind and herbs. Flavor is similiar, lightly metallic, cereal grains, finishing bitterness.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Not much aroma. Not much bitterness. The taste is very subtle. Not very citrus, almost rated like a detergent or perfume but I canít put my finger on it. Not my favorite.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A nice cooper color, but not much of a head. Malty character and not very bitter, as the name implies. A decent brew, but definitely not the best offering from this brewery.

Pours clear and coppery with a thick off white head. Aroma is pilsner-like with heavy syrup. Taste is similar to aroma with a sweet & bitter finish. Easy to drink.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden-orange with minimal white head. Smells sweet, honey, bubblegum, slight grassy bitterness. Taste is predominantly sweet almost balanced by some bitterness. Mid-body, slightly oily. Some carbonation, some acidity. Pleasant, not great.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A: Copper colored with minimal Head, I really like the look of this in the glass
S: citrusy and floral smell, can smell the hop fragrance nicely, not too overpowering
T: moderate bitterness, I liked that there was a nice malt presence to coincide with the bitterness. Too often thereís usually a tradeoff between one and the other. Fruit and floral notes come through.
O: At 30 IBU itís not an ďextremeĒ IPA and itís not trying to be. I like this beer if I want to have a few and donít feel like being overwhelmed. It has a nice palate and a balanced flavor that I can appreciate. In the end, I would take a Domaine DuPage from the Two Brotherís Brewery over this one, it is only a few IBUs less and has a ton of flavor and character, but I still recommend this one as well.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 1/12/2014. Pours moderately cloudy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, toast, biscuit, light caramel, floral, grass, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, floral, grass, toast, biscuit, light caramel, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Light floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, orange/lemon zest, floral, grass, toast, biscuit, light caramel, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of hop and malt flavors; with a great hop/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale. All around good balance, complexity, and robustness of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice pale ale that I no longer seek out, but is still great to find at a party. Nothing about the beer is oft putting, but nothing really blows my mind either. Despite the name, it isnít crazy bitter by any means, and has a nice light hop profile and light mouthfeel. Itís not flashy, but could be a good go-to depending on the drinkerís taste and what else is available.
