OK bitter, tastes a touch sweet to me, not a million miles from Old Speckled Hen, malt and caramel prominent, light hops in the aroma.

330ml bottle @ the Fourth Shrewsbury Bottle Share April 2014, courtesy of Luc. Likin the feather - nice touch. Pours dark amber. Some definite dark fruits coming into play alongside a subtle earthiness. Fairly inoffensive 3.8%er.

Bottle, shared at the fourth Shrewsbury bottle swap. Liked the feather stuck to the bottle by the front label. Poured a rich autumn gold, even if it was April, the head was off-white and didnít last long. Initially I jokingly said it was dry and tasted like it had dark fruits from the hedgerow to the others: actually I wasnít far off in that description of the brew because my initial thoughts stayed with me through the tasting. I tried to like it.

Cask handpump at the Bree Louise - London . Pours clear, deep russet-gold with a frothy, off-white head. The nose has some juicy farts and old berries. Light sweet flavor with leathey berries, a bit of bready malt base and slight leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. More aged fruits and berries to finish, a bit of diaper poo, some leaves, brown bread. A little awkward at times but not terrible.

Cask conditioned at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Brown with white head. This is a chunky brown bitter, drying, earthy malts with a twiggy hop note. There is a chocolate roasted malt note and an autumn leaf litter character. Its fine if a little predictable.
