COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle Conditioned; Regular.
A full bodied, smooth Best Bitter. A blend of Cascade and First Gold hops give it its characteristic complex hoppiness. A solid, down to earth 4.2% ale with no airs and graces.

500ml bottle from The Grump Goat Reading. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, and floral. Flavour is similar with a fruity finish. Really liked the artisan feel the bottle which had with a real hens (well probably a cocks) feather on the bottle.

Bottle split at JFs, cheers Jim, 22/12/13. Lightly hazed copper amber with a thin off white covering. Nose is biscuit malt, toffee, light smoke, woody notes. Taste comprises bread dough, fruit loaf, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitter strains in the finish. So so bitter.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2013 Nice. Reminds me of London pride, with slightly more prominent hoppy undertone, some woody, floral notes and a fat, lasting head. Maybe a tiny bit watery at the end but solid effort.

Initially a little acidic but improved with a brief rest. Brown bitter with a lasting coarse white head, lightly malty nose, subtle floral and fruity notes hover over an earthy sharp and faintly grapefruity bitterness.

50cl bottle from Alfred the Grape, Marlow. Amber with a loose white head; orangey aroma; earthy, caramel malt body; with a decent bitterness - some grapefruit and a touch of spice. Another rather good bitter from this brewery.

Bottle at home in London. Pours perfectly clear, golden-brown with a rich, frothy, off-white head. Nose has some dry fruits, light toasty bread. Medium sweet flavor, some toasty sugars, bready malts, light leafy bitters, mellow berries. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary, lightly toasted malts to finish, dry leaves, berries. Its a fine, basic bitter.

Handpull at The White Horse on Parsons Green. Amber, clear, small diminishing off-white head. Mild aroma and taste - very light apple / floral / alcohol - light, but very balanced, a tad sweet yet bitter too. Slick, light, mild carbonation, with a quick yet noticeable slightly earthy bitter linger. Nice session pint.
