This is a super pale golden ale, loads of gooseberries and a touch of citrus. The "Sauvignon Blanc" charachteristic is strong with this one. Perfect sunny weather picnic beer even if it is 5.6%!

A strange aroma of barnyard or manure tinged with a gueze like sourness. Taste of normal golden ale with, some apple, some light sourness, honey, lavender hops, bready malt. Disliked at first but got used to it. Still not totally sold but interesting I guess.

Cask at the 14th Egham Beer Festival. Straw coloured with a tight white head; mineral and gooseberry aroma - certainly in keeping with the idea that this is a wine-like beer; full and fruity in the mouth with a dry finish. Not bad, but perhaps I’m missing the point - why make a beer that tastes like wine?
