COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Pours beautifully golden with one finger’s worth of foamy white. Aroma is floral and distinctively hoppy with some citrus and a bit of basil-esque herbaceousness. Pleasant amount of carbonation. The slight sweetness compliments the complex citrus and hops flavors. Anise/licorice flavors come forward as the beer warms and oxidizes. Finishes dry and moderately bitter with just the tiniest note of alcohol lingering. One of the finest IPAs I’ve tasted to-date.

Pours a a slightly hazy yellow, with white head. Aroma is floral and citrus. Taste is floral and citrus also, very strong floral hop taste, blended perfectly with s strong malty aftertaste that takes away the bitterness. An awesome IPA.

Draught, 7.1%. Good hoppy aroma, mildly piney, hint of orange juice and perhaps flatulence. Cloudy dark golden colour. Small stable frothy white head. The flavour is nicely hoppy, not unlike the aroma. There is a hint of vanilla and some soft fruit, very faint. A well-crafted and subtle beer, and very good.

Great balance makes it dangerously sessionable as it hides the 7% nicely. Very clean hop finish with just a tad of sweetness. This would be a go-to for me if I could get it in CO.

Bouteille. Couleur orange cuivré munie d’un fin col. Arôme florale avec une touche d’agrumes. Goût bien malté avec un bon coté sucré me rappelant des oranges confites. Très bien équilibré avec un houblonnage très présent et bien résineux.

Extra given to me by MarkWise, thanks very much for the big package. Pour was a typical light sunlight/amber with tufts of uneven white foams. Small bubbles cackle over the honey tea body. Smell is Hoppy, but it’s definitely put in a sweet background context. Taste is a hop flavor seasoning more than bitterness with a big sweet tea bread malt character. Light brioche, some sugary bread off set by a hard candy/gummy hop flavor. Really nice balance, and definitely consistent with that malty forward IPA I associate with the midwest.

12 oz. bottle from a shaker. Pours an almost transparent yellow-orange color with a pretty, white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma has a great mixture of grapefruit citrus and a finish of light, resiny pine notes. Taste has a good (for an IPA) helping of caramel malt up front which quickly transitions into a nice hop profile. Has definite notes of resiny hops up front with some piney notes in the finish. Extremely tasty, sessionable, and delicious IPA. Only tiny drawback is a small metallic note in the finish.
