Ottscay (7), Mason, Michigan, USA does not count Jul 22, 2009 From the bottle. Further evidence why I do not possess much appreciation for hoppy IPAs. This is one strong IPA with a powerful floral odor and sharp finish. kingalbertstl (3), Missouri, USA does not count Jul 19, 2009 just had a glass of st bernadus 12 followed by the two hearted....does bells make some freakin sweet beer..this ipa is great i can’t wait to have the hopslam. BallyLoser (134), Redmond, Washington, USA Jul 19, 2009 Pours a cloudy orange. full head off white head. Has a bit of a floral taste, but not too strong. Great beer with dinner (burger or steak) :-) Ferociousaurus (35), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jul 18, 2009 Powerful, aromatic hop nose. Decent head, not much lacing. Great piney, hoppy taste with some clear notes of grapefruit. Hop are amazing—really fantastic IPA. Tastes like an angel’s tears. dimenhetfield (157), , Florida, USA Jul 17, 2009 I expected a somewhat overpowering IPA from this one,but it was rather relaxing and enjoyable. Earthy with some hints of fruit, very faint though. Sits very nice in the mouth and goes down very smooth. A very great IPA. Would definitly try again. Bov (5403), Bienne, Switzerland Jul 16, 2009 courtesy of Chris Beers - pours a cloudy orange colour under a huge foamy white head; fairly fruity hoppy nose (mango and apricots) with notes of fresh cream; quite soft mouthfeel and full-bodied; a robust but never aggressive bitterness takes control of the taste; moderately dry bitter and long fruity finish - balanced and robust; very well-made gpekar (221), Maryland, USA Jul 14, 2009 Batch #8409, Bottled April 1, 2008. Poured a haxy amber orange with a tall creamy off-white head. There was a good sweet malt aroma. There was a light caramel scent and some citrus in the aroma too. There was a mellow sweetness initially then some citrus and a bite from the hops and good flavor on the finish. This bottle was over a year old and the hops had probably mellowed out somewhat, so I’ll have to get a fresher bottle and rerate. It was still rather good Elkas (86), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Jul 13, 2009 On tap at Chatham Tap, Indianapolis. Beautiful copper coloured beer with a floral hop nose. Wonderful hop flavour and bitterness. Why oh why can’t we have this in Canada?
