fata2683 (836), Panama City, Florida, USA Jul 11, 2009 bottle, pours a light copper with a medium white head. Strong aroma of grapefruit and hops. Light candied malt body that remains lightly sweet until a hop bitterness shows up and builds into a nice dry and bitter finish. Very refreshing and easy to drink. jimmyjack (7), USA does not count Jul 5, 2009 Cascade hits nose quick, complex texture allows hops to break in to every bit of rich but light malt palate. the bitterness holds long, head is well laced and fizz distributed widely on the palate. As it warms in the glass, more fruitty details come forth. Purity of malt, base bitter and finish taste makes this a fine example; exceptional and obtainable. wavers1 (110), novato, California, USA Jul 3, 2009 batch 9097, bottle courtesy of coyotehunter. nice deep gold pour with a mild haze to it. nice retention on a creamy spongy head. moderate hop notes in the smell with some sweet maltyness to balance it out. notes of lavender and caramel start at the end of the smell and wind up with a nice reappearance through the mid and back of the mouth. nice heavy hop front that is lightly smoothed and complimented by the sweetness so as to never be offensive. very pleasant harmony of bitterness and sweet oily goodness in the aftertaste. i’m sold. scrizzz (1247), kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 1, 2009 Batch 8986. Strong perfumed aroma, some strawberry and wildflower pollen. Light hazy gold, white sticky head. Lovely blend of hops dance over the soft buscuity malt. Only hops remain in the finish, clean and beautiful. oteyj (713), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Jun 30, 2009 Copper pour with small off white head. Aroma is very floral, grassy, and loaded with sweet caramel malt. Hop character is multi-faceted and powerful. Flavor is perfume, herbaceous, and floral with some sweeter balancing malt flavors up front. Palate is smooth and quite rich for the style, finishing with a slight dryness. No diacetyl. Incredible brew for sure. Jblauvs (530), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Jun 30, 2009 hazy golden pour, slight offwhite head. Citrus hops are Huge, Floral hops as well, flavor is perfumey, floral , very subtle. very drinkable, crisp finish. great ipa craftycarl21 (510), South Hero, Vermont, USA Jun 30, 2009 Pours a cloudy dark gold with small white head. Aroma is robust, with lots of citrus (orange, grapefruit) and floral notes- really nice. Flavor is extremely floral to me, not nearly as resinous or citrusy as the aroma. Even ideas of perfume persist. Absurdly drinkable, alcohol is masked quite well. Not what I was expecting, not a powerful IPA, but extremely well crafted and very tasty. rcasta (470), El Salvador Jun 30, 2009 gracias aleman y ramenenen su b-day party. creo que esta fuela que mas me gusto, por ser hoppy y mas maltosa que las ipa normales
