4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 bkurtz (461) - PERU - JUL 26, 2011
Poured a slightly hazy golden with a fluffy, white head. Citrus and floral notes right away with some sweetness. Nice hops without going overboard like many American IPA’s. Great balance and wonderful finish. A truly remarkable beer.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 dumontn (423) - CHICAGO, Illinois, USA - JUL 25, 2011
Pours hazy light amber with a 1 finger head and decent retention. Aroma is candy sweet caramel and citrusy hops. Taste is toffee, lemon peel, grapefruit, and toast. Body is medium-heavy with average carbonation and a slightly dry finish. In my several years of enjoying this brew, I have determined that it’s signature character is a sort of candy-hop flavor. Brilliant. One of the best straightforward IPAs out there!

A little over a month old bottle so still pretty fresh.
A- Really nice appearance, one finger off white head, very clear dark golden yellow color, splotching lacing, nice carbonation.
S- The aroma is really nice, smooth, very refreshing, juicy fruity flavors (peach, grapefruit, citrus) piney hops, nice malt backbone.
T- This is just a quality year round IPA, really balanced, solid fruity flavors, big grapefruit, pine, citrus, nice malt presence to balance it out, this is just a really balanced IPA.
M- Medium/light mouth feel, well carbonated, really smooth, extremely easy drinkability.
O- This is the craft beer that started it all for me; I’ve had this so many times and have always forgotten to review it, just a quality beer that I will always fall back on, always reliable.

Hands down my favorite beer. Have yet to try anything that comes close to its incredibly fresh taste. I drink it like water. Cheers.
4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 574deadzone (177) - North Central, Indiana, USA - JUL 18, 2011
Pours golden orange with a thick foamy head that slowly dissipates. Nose is a floral hop bouquet. Taste is an all-over refreshing bitter with a hint of sweetness trying to break through. Sizable amount of complexity to the palate, which is fantastic. I’m glad this is available year round and seems pretty widely available either on tap or bottled at a lot of restaurants and bars in the "deadzone." It’s damn good and my favorite IPA. And if you’ve ever tipped a canoe over in the Two Hearted River, you’ll know that it’s just as refreshing!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Suliman (27) - USA - JUL 17, 2011
Picked up from Conch Island Liquors in Key West. Aroma of hops, floral, and some grapefruit. Taste is well balanced with some bitterness.
