BNSLY (43), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA May 25, 2009 May 25. Bottle. pours a hazy gold and orange color. Nice head and plenty of lacing. Great hop aroma and taste. really good IPA. One of the best I have had. Not much of a hop head. But this is exceptional. Enjoy!!!! Blaze312 (129), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA May 25, 2009 12 oz bottle. Very strong aroma of hops and malts. Flavor is also very strong of hops. Hints of citrus, with a small bitter aftertaste. OzarkElmo (117), Poplar Bluff, Missouri, USA May 25, 2009 Consumed May 23, 2009. From bottle to tulip. Pours a hazy dark golden/orange with moderate white head. Lacing lingers throughout. Classic IPA aroma of citrus/pine/grass hops and hints of caramel malt. Very well-balanced beer with good bitter finish that does not linger. Excellent beer IMO and up at the top of American IPAs for me - Cheers to Bell’s! Pipper (225), Ohio, USA May 24, 2009 I’ve had this beer a few times before and really enjoy it but never on tap before going to The Brew Kettle. Lace but little head with a transparent light honey colored body with a steady stream of light carbonation. Aroma is like lemongrass/rosemary/pine. Little bubbly on the lips, very crisp but not overpowering mouthfeel. Taste is same as aroma with the refreshing pine quality. A great beer from Bells. finol (475), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden May 24, 2009 Bottle at Akkurat.
Pours golden orange, some yeast floats in the beer, the head is big and yellowish.
Smells of flowers, citrus, pineapples and candy.
Fruity taste of pinapple and citrus some bitterness in the aftertaste.
Refreshing and well balanced! hirigalzkar (550), Stockholm, Sweden May 23, 2009 Bottle. Ap: Yellow. Lots of yeast. Ar: Candy hops with a distinct darker touch in the background. Pineapple. Fla: Very fruity. Tropical fruits. Pineapple. Extremely fresh hops with a perfect little bitterness in the finish. Ov: One of the best IPA:s ever. No doubt. carlb (36), East Lansing, Michigan, USA May 21, 2009 Sweet aroma with beautiful hop notes . Hints of grassyness and summer. Pours a brilliant golden hue with a well developed lasting head. Belgian lace with bearded structures form as I drink this ale. Sweet forward flavors with a lingering bitter, but not walloped, finish. Very clean palate. Pine forests? Clean flavors. Excellent IPA. Top of class. Excellent accompaniment to foods that need some cleansing bitter notes, yet perfect to sip on the porch after a long day at work.
