4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 papsdatank (47) - Michigan, USA - JUL 14, 2011
It pours a clear copper/honey color with a decent sized white head that leaves some good lacing. The aroma is of citrus, floral and piney hops with a little bit of bready malt with a definite grapefruit scent. The taste follows the nose, I’d like it to be a little more complex but it’s quite good the blend of citrus, floral and piney hops come in witha little bit of a grassy taste followed by bready malts. The palate is a medium bodied crisp finsih with no sign of alcohol,
Overall: This is the craft beer I drink the most, it’s quite tasty and available everywhere.

Frontline on PBS.
A wood stove in the winter.

A long roadtrip driving to Alaska.
Bell’s Two Hearted Ale.
I’ve tried quite a few beers, and this beer deserves it’s own category, it’s almost beyond what you can call beer.

This has been one of my whales for awhile, lucky enough to try both on draft and in bottle over the weekend; pours attractive IPA with nice frothy head; aroma is clean but somewhat subdued; taste well balanced with bittering, flavor hops and malty base; very gut
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 steadyj (69) - Kentucky, USA - JUL 9, 2011
Pours a nice burnt orange with a one finger head that fades after a while but never completely leaves. Nice webbed lacing. Grapefruit and grassy hops in the nose. A very balanced IPA with a clean finish. Very good.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 iugrad93 (201) - Indiana, USA - JUL 8, 2011
Nice golden pour and bountiful aroma of citrus, caramels. and grass. Taste is nice and bitter. Great palate with a light body, lively carbonation and a great dry finish. Overall, this is a great beer all around. Not one thing is great but all together it’s a great beer.

Without a doubt, this is my favorite IPA. This beer is best on tap, and a perfect companion to spicy or barbecued food.

Simply delicious. floral with grapefruit notes and piney aroma. Pours golden orange with a light, quickly dissapearing head. ABV works well in balance with the ingredients. Not overpowering. Sweet fruity finish. Great beer overall.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 pressurewave (11) - Florida, USA - JUN 30, 2011
Floral, citrus (orange, lemon, grapefruit), clover grassy hop with a bitter lingering trace of greenery on the tongue. Fruit bitter. Sweet and flowery smell quick after the pour, fading. Have this with Fish Tacos, and remember that fresh water fish and salt water fish can sometimes live side by side.
