India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

From a bottle purchased in Grand Marais, MN. Deep gold, thin lacy head. Citrus and pine aroma. Dry on the palate with a bit of the alcohol showing through. Creamy with average carbonation. Pleasant bitter from beginning to end. A good brew.

Draft at RFD, 16 ounces served in 16 ounce glass. Yellow, slightly couldy, minimal white head, low carbonation. Amazing aroma. Citrus / pine, not overly piney. Cascade / amarillo aroma, very inviting. The beer screams, drink me! This is the type of beer that reminds me I’m a hop head. Sweet full bodied nice bitterness. Not overwhelming, but characteristics of great hop flavor. Drinkability high, A truly well formed beer. A slight aftertaste, some bitterness on the back end hold son. not strong. A reasonable amount of lingering flavor. This is one of my favorite IPAs in the country. Serving type: on-tap

A very tasty American IPA. Has a great citrus aroma. Has a nice amber color. Always pours well. Has a nice white head. The cascade hops are featured well. Not my first choice, but a great back up.

A rich smell of citrus and hops comes from the bottle which hides a light and hoppy bite on first taste. There’s not as much citrusy taste as I was expecting given the smell, but everything balances out in the end. The pour is a hazy golden hue with a thin white head to it. The body is light to moderate which lingers a bit in the mouth. A great IPA to be sure!

Nice, clear orange-golden color with a decent white head that lingers. The aroma of hops is strong, with notes of grapefruit and flowers, very good smelling. The flavor again has the hops forefront with some citrus and malt, finishing with floral flavors. Amazing flavor without overt bitterness, a truly great IPA.
