Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

12 oz bottle - pours a slightly hazy light orange with minimal head that leaves a little bit of lacing - Citrus hops in the aroma and taste - At 7% abv the alcohol is hidden very well and this beer goes down dangerously smooth with a slight bitterness on the palate - As of 11-9-09 the commercial description here says "this beer doesn’t have Bells in front of the name by explicit request from the brewer" - well if I was the brewer I would definitely put my name in front of this beer as it is delicious and easy to drink - Mega kudos to the brewer!

Thanks to Ucusty! Pours orange-gold with a moderate white head. Aroma is lovely, with orange, grapefruit, lemon, strawberries, cotton candy, toffee and breadcrust. Smells like hop candy. Flavor is a similar, drier mix of earth, bread, brown sugar, orange, grapefruit, strawberries and pine. Finishes like citrus fruits dipped in brown sugar mixed with a toasty bitterness that is more flavorful than strong. Medium bodied, creamy, fairly high carbonation, and easy to drink. I can see why so many people are addicted to this beer. It really DOES make me wish I had more in the fridge!

Sampled @ the Moss Rock Festival. Pours a deep golden color with a crisp, hoppy, florarl nose. Taste it deep and complex, with late hop action.

Bottle. Golden with a thick offwhite head with good lacing. Aromas of piney hops and chalk. Balanced malts and a fruity, almost strawberry taste. Some grapefruit bitterness and also evergreen hops. Nice finish.

Pours light golden, like an English Pale Ale, from the 12oz. bottle: Nose is an overall (and I can’t stop whiffing!) earthy effervesence with resin, grass and grapefruit peel amplifying a delicate euphoria of floral hops. Balanced and light and normally I don’t appresh light IPAs, but I’m not feeling like I’m missing out on hops here. Starts out medium and goes into a fuller body. Oily palatte. Drinkability: BOMBER- A good quality IPA. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Rebuy: Right away. #185 on 04112009, DG.

12-oz bottle. Slightly hazy golden color. Stiff ample white head that persisted for 15 minutes. Strong pleasant citrus aroma. Medium body with a creamier texture than I expected. Mild sweetness blending quickly into orange and then orange peel. Hoppy without being overpowering. Immensely drinkable. I continue to be impressed with the offerings from Bell’s! Good job.
