JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Apr 6, 2009 Bottle thanks to tjthresh. Nicely balanced IPA, but not as fresh and hoppy as Im used to. Caramel malt, biscuits, citrus, floral hops, toffee, and moderately bitter. Nice and easy to drink, well done IPA. graham515 (420), Houston, Texas, USA Apr 5, 2009 Pours a soft amber into the glass with a healthy white head. Aroma is very floral with a touch of citrus. Very clean malt flavor to this beer and none of the up front big hops that I usually expect from IPA’s. This beer gives you all the hops you need on the back end of the beer. Very smooth and hard to believe that it carries a 7% abv. beernbourbon (230), chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 3, 2009 Draft. Pour is a wonderful amber with a small white head. Aroma is full of great classic ipa scents...Pine needles, grapefruit, fall leaves and mild sweetness. Flavor is grapefruit, citrus, and a mildy bitter finish. Classic and delicious. Not the biggest or most outlandish of the style, just a good ipa. If you can get it, try it at least once. djd07 (721), Houston, Texas, USA Apr 2, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange golden with a medium frothy white head. The aroma is a strong hop with floral notes and pine. Good sticky lacing on the glass. The taste is a smooth grapefruit with a sweet hop and pine with a nice bitter finish. Easy to drink great flavor, not overpowering in hops all around a very well done IPA from Bells. Narnad (681), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Apr 1, 2009 Pours a golden color with a thick white, foamy head and lots of carbonation. Aroma is very strong of citrus hop bitterness, slight pine bitterness in the background and some hidden sweet malt aromas as well.. Flavor starts off with a strong smack of grapefruit which lasts through the whole tasting. A slight piny flavor kicks in about mid way through and melds with a solid two row malt sweetness ending with a nice dryness and taste bud puckering feeling. Carbonation is perfect for delivering the flavors, great lacing on the glass and the density is much heavier than it looks all the while not emphasizing the alcohol content at all. Overall, I wasn’t expecting something this good. This is a very solid IPA and one I could drink a whole six pack of in one night, it’s just that good. Coltrane (108), South Carolina, USA Mar 31, 2009 The best IPA I have ever had. Of course, I am biased being from Michigan and ’growing up’ on this one. Still, the citrus and the smoothness make me completely happy. Even the damn fish on the bottle brings me joy.

Murky orange coloured, medium sized white head, strong floral fruity nose (a bit unpleasant). Aromatic hoppy and fruity taste with notes of orange peel and touch of grapefruit in the finish.
