Great floral aroma. Apricot, cat pee, ozone, pine. Fruity sweet rinds. Medium amber, light haze, thin lacing head. Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. Starts fruity with apricot, spice. Medium carbonic acidity. Huge fruity floral hops presence, with big bitter mouth-drying finish. After is bitter and just a bit peppery. Very nice IPA.

Wow, I really like this beer. Cloudy. Sweet floral hoppy grapefruit aroma. A very well balanced IPA. Good hops mainly in the end that are balanced with great malt flavors. One of the better IPAs I have had. Very easy to drink.

12 oz bottle. Clear golden color and a fine head. The aroma is medium to high hops. The centennial throughout is quite nice. It is fairly bitter but there are flavor and aroma hops to round it out nicely. The flavor leaves you with a touch of lime. Great beer.

Aroma is a blend of malt and hops, cloudy apricot, and a finger of white foam. Very hoppy taste at first, with malt coming in after. Well balanced, nicely bitter. Lovely!

UPDATED: APR 23, 2005 Picked up this beer on a trade in Coventry last weekend (where a song about my ratebeer user name was played). Huge sticky head atop a murky orange/brown body. Sweet orange aroma. Great citrus hop flavor with a nice lemon taste. A most excellant ipa.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2006 Sampled this beer at the Great Taste of the Midwest in Madison WI. Even though my scores on this are accurate and well researched, ?Da Man? wants me to say more about the beer, so I will. I love Bell’s, and this is one of the better IPA’s I’ve had in a long time. A very nice beer.

What goodness from such an unassuming trout bottle! Aroma of citrus (lemon, grapefruit and HUGE orange). Appears hazy, and almost murky dark gold/light orange. The flavor is so rich and full, with orange and even some gin in the taste. The only flaw is a little alcohol coming thru (a shame at 6%). Would make the perfect transition beer for those needing an intiation into american craft beer. This is Dreadnaught’s not-so-distant smaller cousin.

Draft. Bright, hazy gold. Off-white head w/ fine bead & excellent lace. Robust, very fresh aroma of citrus & pine w/ lovely notes of caramel & vanilla. Full-bodied. Nice & sticky. Flavour is complex, very hoppy & bitter w/ long lingering finish. Still the malt is there to support. Excellent beer.
