4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUL 3, 2009 Yellow pour, diminishing white frothy head (on tap) almost like soap bubbles, very floral hop aroma, tasted a little soapy but it may have been the glass, lively carbonation, bitter and crisp like it stops in you mouth . Bells Brewery never disappoints. original rating 3.7, rerated from bottle, being on an IPA kick this one is very good, nector/citrus grapefruit, very nice texture and weight, this is very drinkable. Good balance of bitter with finish...Very Nice

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle, served in my brand new Duvel Tulip. Batch #7806, packaged on 01/22/2007. Pours a gorgeous golden orange/amber with a huge, pillowy white head. Excellent cobweb lacing on the glass. Nice lasting power on the head. Nose of floral hops, pine, citrus, grapefruit, Cannabis. Fore of the tongue is heavily astringent. Pine, hops, spice and grapefruit dominate. Back of the tongue is more of the same, with the floral notes shining through. Finish is crisp, dry and bitter. Full of hops. I like this a lot for some reason, even with not being a huge fan of I/IPA’s so far. I think the absence of Cascade hops really helps.
Another winner from Bell’s. 3/3 for me personally so far.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This beer really hits the spot after a long day at work. Definitely a great session beer if it was available locally. Pours a golden amber with a 1" foamy white head. Sweet citrusy hops fill the nose, with hints of honeysuckle and a spring floral boquet. Flavor is a well balanced array of citrus hops with a sticky palate. Finish is rather brief with no lingering bitterness. A very fine example of an IPA, and a great daily drinker.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz Bottle, 6% a/v
Smells VERY hoppy with some pine and spicy smells mixed in. It pours a cloudy copper with a light brown head. The taste is of spicy and cedar with a bit of fruit and the aftertaste is a VERY hoppy sharpness. This is a great beer to sip on and as has been said a nice northern beer. Great for the cottage.
** You may not like this if your not a fan of hops **

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours a nice golden color with a small white head that lingers. aroma is of citrus and piney hops with some sweetness. flavor mirrors the aroma, with the floral hops hitting you first, with a piney/citrusy hop finish and some caramel sweetness. ultimately a pretty simple straight forward beer...a solid example of an IPA

UPDATED: APR 23, 2009 The aroma is full of pine and citrus hops with caramel malt. The appearance is golden amber with a two finger head. The flavor is balanced with lots of caramel malt and hops. The pine really comes through. The palate is sticky. Not all that complex but a Fantastic beer!
