3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2015 Draft at St. Stephenís with dallas. Pours a golden body with small white head, nice lacing. Aroma is awesome pine hops, and some citrus notes. Mouthfeel is medium, flavor is same as aroma.
REVISIT 2014: Bottle on several occassions with Pat. Bells Two Hearted seems to have become a staple of the Philadelphia beer scene in the sense that it was one of the few beers with wide distribution that also moves fast enough to allow for consistently fresh bottles. Pours a light golden body with thick white head. Aroma is bitter lemon grass, crisp pale malt and bitter fruity hop. Mouthfeel is carbonated, crisp and light; notes of grass, pale malt, light sweetness and delicate spice. Reliable and sessionable.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Golden body and hazy. Nice medium sized head with aroma of pine hops and floral malts. Starts hoppy and then balances with malts before finishing with a dry note that makes you come back for more. A nice savory beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2009 Pours sorta hazy golden, forming a white foamy head. Aroma of crisp pines, wet forest hops, and lovely malts. Flavor is of sweet malted floral hops. Very well balanced. A tinge of grapefruit going there too. Pretty good IPA, not overwhelming. Not very pungent as I was hoping for. Would have gotten higher point from me, not up there with Hop Devil or Thunderhead, but not too bad either. Easily sessionable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce bottle into a pint glass, hazy yellow with a thin head. Aroma was of citrus and orange peel. The flavor was complex with notes of orange peel, citrus, lime and floral hops. Bitter on the finish. Well carbonated. IPAís really arenít my thing, but this is well done. It kind of grows on you.

Light golden hoppie stout. Light hoppie scent. This beer was a light ale color with a very bitter aftertaste.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pungent grapefruit and yeast aroma. Deep golden color, semi opaque with white foamy head. Flavor is full of citrus and switches to malt halfway through. Good range of flavors and complexity. Grapefruit accents, slightly dry. Lighter mouthfeel than some. Well carbonated. Very good and easy to drink.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2009 Bottled from batch 7770, received from ípantanapí in a recent trade. Pours with a small head that faded quickly and aroma of pine and hop. Flavor is nice with the good crisp clean and refreshing flavor all the way down. Very easy to drink. I canít wait to try to Hopslam!
Re-rated on 10/08/09. Moved up from 3.7 to a 4.0. This is an exceptional beer, and one that Iíd go to regularly if available. Extremely quaffable for a 7% offering.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On Tap at Pracna Minneapolis (I have had this beer many, many times otherwise) IPAís are my favorite style, I love the citrus, Piney aroma and flavors. This is my second favorite IPA I have ever had (Surly Furious is the only one I would prefer over this). Aroma is a nice citrus hop, extremely inviting. Color good golden orange. White head sticks around pretty well. Taste, oh the taste is a wonderful pine, citrus hoppy well balanced flavor. A little too carbonated for me, but let this one breate a little and it is perfect.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: MAY 15, 2007 I like this brew. It has a very nice hoppy taste without being overly bitter. It has a great all round finish. Competes well with Dog Fish Head 90 minute IPA. Well worth the price.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle, batch 7877, bottled on 3-26-07. Pours orange with a large white frothy head that shrinks back a little bit but sticks around for the whole beer, the lacing is awsome too. Looking through the glass it is very hazy with tiny particles floating around. The aroma is all hops, a very citrusy aroma. The initial flavor is quite bitter which sticks around for a while, the duration of the flavor is long. The flavor is of citrus, mostly orange. The body is medium with a oily and creamy texture with lively carbonation. This is still one of my favorite IPAís. This was the first craft beer I had, and I fell in love with it, and craft beer. It was all down hill from there.
