osu97gp (168), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Feb 21, 2009 Pours a slighty hazy amber with one finger of white head. Aroma is mostly floral hops and some citrus. Flavor is the same the smell. Great beer. machfive55 (218), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 21, 2009 Poured amber with a four-fingered head. The aroma was nice floral hoppy, the flavor was a nice blend of citrus, floral hops and malt, very well balanced. A slight bitterness throughout the drink but never overwhelming. An excellent IPA that did not disappoint. mnovacanes (48), Munster, Indiana, USA Feb 21, 2009 Updated: Apr 9, 2009Appearance: reddish, orange, copper, light haze; above average head with decent retention
Aroma: lots of fruit, floral, and citrus, as expected from the centennial hops; very easy to enjoy
Flavor: wow, centennial is quite different than simcoe; all floral and fruit; very easy to like; refreshing; also a noticeable grainy, yeasty presence which adds, rather than subtracts, from the overall experience; medium to medium-high bitterness, and it is kept in check nicely
Palate: pretty smooth; medium bodied; quite high carbonation--probably too high;
(tasted twice) Sonicdescent (371), Donora, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 20, 2009 This is the best regular ipa that I have had. Tasty but not beat you in the face bitter. Frothy white head, murky golden pour. Great hoppy scent. Excellent beer. jkwalking05 (1438), Arlington, Texas, USA Feb 19, 2009 Bright orange in color with a good sized cream colored head. Aroma is of bold hops, grass, citrus, and pine. Taste is of pine and grapefruit. ironchefscott (341), portland, Oregon, USA Feb 15, 2009 I look at this like a strong APA not an IPA ...that being said.....a fucking great apa very balanced and complex...but drinkable...not as overtly hoppy as west coast ipa/apa’s but I think I can get use to this one...:) TheJester (692), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Feb 15, 2009 355 mL bottle. (#8813 on the back). Copper with a small white head. Sweetish aroma of thin malt and light floral hops. Not overpowering. Kinda like Belgian blonde meets IPA. Malt profile steps up as it warms. Bitterness from start to finish. Incredibly full for an IPA. Medium to high carbonation. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA Feb 13, 2009 Pint at Bottoms Up Pizza. Upfront floral/citrusy aroma. Slightly hazy orange golden with small white head. Flavor is grassy floral hops in front with a light caramel maltyness and citrusy grape fruitiness. Medium bitterness and well balanced. Very good. Makes you wonder is this Hop Slam without the honey?
