4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 TomTron (84) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Pours a hazy yellowish orange with a soapy white head that stays around. Aromas of citrusy hops, some pine, and a bit of fruity sweetness. Taste is very well balanced, the grapefruit and orange zest isn’t overpowering the hops and vice versa. It is a bit mild in the bitterness for an IPA but I don’t mind it, it has so much going on that my inner hop-head in no way disputes how fantastic this beer is. Few beers literally make me salivate and Bell’s Two Hearted makes it happen. Don’t go into this beer expecting a hop explosion and something verging on a borderline religious experience, go into it expecting a complex beer with amazing drinkability. Easily one of my favorite, if not my favorite IPA and beers in general. This beer is a one reason I love being a craft beer enthusiast. CHEERS!!!

I actually don’t find this beer to be completely an IPA. It’s somewhere between a normal American ale and an IPA. Delicious anyway.

Flaska 33 cl, inköpt i Bradenton, Florida. Stora härliga blommiga och fruktiga dofter, samma i smaken tillsammans med en riktigt fin beska. Mycket bra öl.

Draft. A favorite! Beautiful appearance, cloudy orange/tan fill with nice foamy white head that settled into a light film, great layered lacing. The aroma was straight sweet citrus with a hop floral kick, and the taste followed suit. The floral/citrus comes through immediate, the palate was a medium sticky, and then there’s a nice hop kick at the finish. As my buddy Puff put it, "It’s not a typical IPA. At the end it just kind of like says, ’Hey, I’m an IPA.’"

Deep gold with off white head. Aroma is spicy citrus and mango. Creamy body with pleasant bitterness. More tart citrus in the finish. One of my favorites. Even better on cask.

Bottle - pours pale yellow with just off white head and nice lacing. Nose is a pine forest. Aroma is likewise but not as bitter as the nose would suggest. Medium body and thin texture. Don’t believe the hype. I’m disappointed

Ar: Tangerines, marmalade, some grapefruit, and black pepper.
Ap: Hazy gold-orange - large fluffy white head with good retention and a chunky curtain of lacing.
T: Grapefruit and tangerine up front - firm medium-high bitterness, yet fairly clean hopping - slightly sweet - grassy - bitter grapefruit rind finish.
P: Medium-light body with high carbonation - finish is medium-dry.
O: Simply a great American IPA - citrus and clean bitterness throughout - a prototype of the style!

Dirty hazy ruddy gold color with some microscopic "floaties." Full persistent white head and plenty of lace. From the start there is a balanced combination of citrus caramel wheat and mild pine hops. Plenty of taste and plenty of body. The only weakness would be that once the flavor (as good as it is) begins, there is no change from beginning to finish. Excellent and extravagent one-note brew.
