4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 DeliveryDriver (103) - Illinois, USA - APR 30, 2013
Pours a clear golden color with a finger length head that leaves good lacing. Had a strong floral aroma. Real bitter and hoppy flavors, and had just enough of a malt backbone. A hop heads delight, nice and easy to guzzle.

The IPA that I use to judge all other IPAs against. The nose is incredible. Floral and tropical fruit and of course awesome hop notes. Sweet clean, balanced. The best IPA I have had consistently to date.

Dense and ever so slightly syrupy. Big hop, sticky goodness. Gold amber body with close to no head. One of the best standard IPAs out there, a favorite for sure!

Bottle and draft, from notes. Pours a slightly hazy gold with normal white head. Aroma is slightly dank with some lemon and hop. Taste is middle of the road but in a great way. The hops, malt and such all work well. Lemon and some spice here. Great Midwest IPA.

Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale is a good beer with an impressive alcohol content. Worth at least a few tries.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2013 Over pints at the Great Lost Bear in Portland, ME, recently, two chums and I pondered what ONE beer we would choose if we were limited to drinking just one style the rest of our lives. After hard deliberation, I realized it’s obvious: Bell’s Two Hearted Ale is my choice for everyday excellence. Nothing tastes like home quite like this. Two Hearted is the taste of the heart of America!
