COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

12oz bottle courtesy of my buddy, llcooldave--Thanks Bro!!! Batch 9803. Pours a hazy, light orange/amber body with a lasting, bubbly off-white head that leaves thick, sticky lacing. Aromas of bright, fresh citrus (tangerine), melon, caramel and a floral, slightly piney finish. Flavors are very citrus-based. Fresh oranges dominate. Bright floral notes and a nicely balanced, long bitter finish that’s refreshing. Very fine, soft carbonation and a medium to full mouthfeel. I’d love to get my hands on a mini-keg!!

12 oz bottle (batch # 9803) thanks to llcooldave for this great housewarming gift! Pours golden amber with a foamy white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity and the typical "new carpet" smell of a good IPA. Light, fruity flavor with a hint of floral soap and citrus. Smooth and refreshing. Not as bitter as expected (which is a good thing). One of the better IPAs I’ve had.

Had this one numerous times, mostly on tap. Slightly hazy orange-tan color. Foamy, off-white head. Great astringent hop aroma. Great balance, solid bitter hops and a creamy malt body. Mild orange tones. Somewhere between medium and full bodied, despite the big ABV. Mils soapy tones. A midwest standard, deservedly so. Perfect session IPA.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2011 Bottled 5 months ago. Clear honey color. Smell of citrus hops and maybe some peach. Well balanced IPA. Would like to try a fresher batch of this. Good beer.

Golden yellow with a hint of orange. The nose is a complex mix of sweet citrus, tangarine, butter cream and fresh cut grass. Medium bodied. I taste lemon zest, orange and pine needle. The bitterness is not the star here and that in itself is refreshing. Nice mellow finish. Just a well crafted beer in every measurable aspect.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2011 Good looking hazy orange. Heavy aroma of hops. pine, grapefruit. The hops stand out as served by the good carbonation. Surprisingly easy drink, making it a recipe for loads of flavour. Highly recommended to see how a great tasting, hop loaded beer can be smooth still. (On tab at The Top.)

Very fragrant aroma. Golden color, slightly cloudy. Frothy and lacy. Med bitter taste. Lighter body. Creamy texture for an IPA. It is an easy IPA to drink, yet the hops are bursting in flavor. Excellant beer. Have bought cases in the past of this stuff and will buy more in future. A must try.

1/10/2010 - 355ml bottle @ Klaas’ place Thanks to Nate for the bottle!

Pours a clear orange gold beer, white creamy head (finally, I love creamy heads!). Aroma is very fruity and flowery. Taste has alcohol sweetness first, then fruits and hops. Aftertaste again fruits and hop bitters. Ends very dry. Maybe I’m just a sucker for hops, but I liked this one very much.
