Dezzilu (211), Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA Jun 7, 2008 This is one damn fine IPA. Lacey white head stuck to the glass until the last swallow. Remarkably crisp and refreshing. I usually don’t go ga-ga over this style of beer, but this is one worth remembering. A wicked summer session beer. Cheers. MagooinPA (99), Warminster, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 7, 2008 12oz pour to a huge white head that laced nicely. Wow! Huge nose of citrus, hops, and more citrus. Nice, slightly cloudy orange/pale color that looks light and weak but is nothing but the opposite. Nice balance considering all you smell is hops and the 1st thing on your palate is hops. It smooths out nicely and finishes with a floral, hoppy, fruity taste that reminds me of Manderin oranges. Very complex, yet quite simple because it is wonderful and all dovetails together into one awesome beer. T2Tool (352), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Jun 7, 2008 Poured from a 12-oz bottle into a pint glass a cloudy golden color, sort of a shade of orange. Smell of citrus hops and sweet malt just get you ready for the first taste. Excellent balance in the taste as the citrus/lemon hops balance perfectly with the biscuit-like malt. One of the best pale ales I’ve had. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jun 6, 2008 So I can see why everyone loves this beer...Midas like in color with a 1/2 inch white head. Aroma is like walking through an orange grove...citrus, floral, and grassy. Flavor follows with incredible balance of those characteristics. Not a lot of sugary sweetness but the hops are delicate enough to not need it. WHY CAN’T THIS STUFF BE AVAILABLE IN AZ!!! twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA Jun 5, 2008 One of the better/best IPAs I’ve had. Superbly crafted. Pours an average appearance- pale light straw color, decent size smooth head. Smells of sticky chunks of bitter oranges. Flavor has a lemon citrus bitterness, tangerines and bittersweet fruit. Light on any malt sweetness, very much hops forward. Awesome ipa. mrw1zard (54), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Jun 5, 2008 On Tap - The Big Hunt, DC.
Good IPA. Pours a nice golden color - fruity taste - almost like fruity pebbles. Nice finish, didn’t taste very bitter to me, but I had a few before. Still a nice IPA, would rather have a Stone. blipp (1612), Newark, New Jersey, USA Jun 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Hoppy aroma, floral, citric and a hint of pine. Medium body. Flavor is again citric, floral and pine, and has a very nice bitter finish. Very well balanced, never comes off as too hoppy or bitter. Very good. davidoc (113), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 4, 2008 Amber pour from the bottle with a thick white head. Very hoppy aroma. Slightly fruity taste and bitter finish.
