Bell’s Two Hearted is my favorite IPA, without a doubt. Try it - you won’t be disappointed.

The aroma is sweet, flowery hops. Sweet citrus, lime and lemon. Really nice perfume; spicy. Biscuity malts fade into the background. Pops with some agitation.
Pours a hazy sunny yellow. Nice white head. Looks like a Belgian white; cloudy.
Toasted pale malts first. Flowery, citrusy hops (though a little soft). Serious orange peel and coriander. Dynamite citrus with a nice bite.
Feels creamy, chewy, thick. Maybe a tad musty, but really good. A very flowery IPA, sweet and very drinkable.
(Similar to Stone Ruination.)
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 mixmasterob (637) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - APR 28, 2010
Wow, can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet. Been crazy about it for awhile now. Super balanced IPA. Its not your usual hop bomb, albeit hops are used in a very efficient manner. Not crazy bitter, this one is smooth. Aroma packs a Centennial punch as does flavor. A world class example although it may come across as an APA rather than an IPA. Bells NEVER disappoints.

Bottle. Hazy gold. Fantastic aroma of peach, tangerine and grassy hops. Flavor is well balanced between citrus, hops and pepper. Lovely dry and slightly bitter finish. Light palate, a little bit crispy. Very enjoyable. As good as it gets for an IPA

I’ve had it on tap and in the bottle. This is my favorite beer right now. Very clean on the palate with excellent grapefruit notes.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2010
A- Well this is quite a beautiful IPA. Semi-translucent Rusty-orange-amber body that pours with an impressive 3 finger foamy off-white head. Head fades slowly to one finger and has great retention. Plenty of lacing is left behind in the glass.
S- Quite promising. A beautiful bouquet of hops with a citrus aroma upfront and pine, floral, and grassy mixing well in the background.
T- Initial flavor is mild and highlights a balance of citrus and grassy hop flavor. Floral and pine hop flavor seem to mix well for the finish-with the floral hop flavor being semi-dominant. A blast of hop bitterness also enters for the finish. All that lingers is a medium strength resonance of hop bitterness. All the beautiful hop flavors are gone.
P- Medium to high carbonation and mildly oily body.
O- After having great IPAs like Alesmith, Racer 5, Centennial, and SN Anniversary this one doesn’t even compare to me. Its not bad-and I can certainly drink it but is only an average IPA to me. I was somewhat disappointed because it could not compare.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jumpjet2k (314) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 20, 2010
Bottle. Had this nice and fresh in a mini-keg not that long ago, too, which was wonderful. Pours light hazy orange with a big fluffy head. Good retention thanks to the hops, too. Nose is bright and citrusy, with some pine and resin alongside. Flavor starts out sweet with liberal amounts of citrus hops, following into pine and floral notes and finishing off slightly more bitter. Medium palate and a pleasant level of carbonation. This is really an exceptional beer - I could see myself drinking a lot of it, if only it were available locally. This is definitely on the same tier as the other amazing IPAs - Stone IPA and SN Torpedo come to mind, in particular, and I’d have a tough time choosing a favorite among the three.
