doppelmeup (51), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Apr 25, 2008 Poured into a pint glass.
Light amber, golden color. Great head with excellent sticky lacing all the way down the glass.
Citrusy, with aromas of ruby red grapefruit, and a hint of malt sweetness in the background and maybe some cut grass. This smells very fresh and springlike.
What a perfectly balanced beer. Lovely hops and fruit flavors perfectly balanced with a slightly sweet maltiness that perfectly compliments the hops. This is exceptional!
Smooth, refreshing, light on the palate yet full bodies. Clean aftertaste leaves you wanting more.
This is an exceptional beer, and one of the best American IPAs I’ve had. Delicious! Hoss (602), Florida, USA Apr 22, 2008 A very nice surprise in that it had a clean crisp bite that i found refreshing. It is a good standard IPA. willyum (3), Virginia, USA does not count Apr 22, 2008 lots of hops with citrus flavor and copper color texture... aroma is strong phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Apr 21, 2008 Hallelujah! This beer is awesome. Love to open a couple of these up every now and again. Pours a bright hazey orange colour with a large white head. Aroma is quite aromatic, floral and spice- citrus fruit and slight grapefruit. Clean noticeable hops throughout the beer. well carbonated, well balanced, just a fantastic brew all around. soyorganic (217), Denver, Colorado, USA Apr 20, 2008 Citus hoppy aroma and color is a cloudy copper. Initially I didn’t think there was enough hops. The more I drank, the hops became more noticeable. They leave a nice lingering aftertaste. But for IPAs I feel like the hops should smack you in the face while still being balanced. The beer was balanced but without the smack in the face. MatSciGuy (627), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA Apr 20, 2008 [bottle] Poured clear copper with medium, rocky, off white head. Huge aroma of citrusy, floral hops. Flavor is citrus balanced by plenty of malts. Nice, fairly bitter finish. The rating on this is well deserved. mmmbeer (737), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 19, 2008 Bottle (Batch #8335) poured into tulip- poured slighty cloudy dull copper color, light carbonation, parts of a white head formed a ring around the glass with some lacing. Aroma of pine and floral hops. Hits the mouth with a defined medium body, malt has a sweet quality to it, hops come in lightly in the middle and are solid on the finish. Very well balanced and, overall, very enjoyable to drink. fiver29 (703), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Apr 18, 2008 Bottle pours a light haze light amber color. Has a thick head that laces the glass as you drink it. Smells of pine and citrus waft in the air as my nose comes in close proximity to the glass. Has a medium mouthfeel and tastes like pine, sweet caramel, and some mild grapefruit. Very tasty.
