Hoppy, slight malt, citrus, quite crisp. This would make a good session IPA. A quality brew. basewars (145), Albany, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2009 Pours reddish amber with two fingers of head and nice lacing. Nice bouqet of malt and floral hops. Full bodied. Flavor is grapefruit and caramel sweetness. Solid beer, but I’m no hop head. amg800 (34), Ada, Michigan, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Sep 22, 2009 One of my all time favorites. Pours hazy golden with notable hop definitions in the nose. Full of flavor that is not too overwhelmning. Who can argue with a label decorated with a trout. I mean really is there a better tasting beer for that trip up north? nramsburg (200), New York, New York, USA

Nice sized head, golden color. A good deal of piney resin and a little floral on the nose. It’s very concentrated.
The taste here is fantastic, hoppy and full-bodied without being overwhelmingly skewed one way. There’s citrus here too, but it’s restrained and complementary.
If you can get you hands on this, try it. Beerapprentice (121), Hopatcong, New Jersey, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 15, 2009 I first had this in Atlantic City after a No Doubt concert in early May with Adrian910ss but it was before my discovery of ratebeer. Pours a copper colour with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and hops. Flavour is the same as the aroma. One of the better IPAs. plovmand (1603), Helsinge, Denmark
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Bottle at Akkurat. Finally I had this. It has been on my want list for years and I was not disappointed at all. Clear golden body with a longlasting off white head. Very fruity aroma with peachy and pineapple notes. A solid malt base delivers a fine caramel background. The flavour is quite complex delivering loads of exotic fruit notes such as peach, mango, pineapple, citrus and pine. It has a creamy texture and is very drinkable and you just enjoy every zip hoping its not the last. Fantastic IPA. gobeers (11), Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 12, 2009 One of the smoothest IPAs that I’ve ever had. Although I thought this was a APA. No kick from the hops. I guess I’ve almost come to expect a bit of a bite from the hops. This beer has been around a while so have IPAs been getting more hoppy? Would be interesting to know how they got such a smooth hop taste. This beer is mostly about the hops, although the malt support is there to make this a very balanced beer TheDewd (4), Lenoir City, Tennessee, USA does not count | 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Sep 12, 2009 An outstanding beer! One of my favorites of all time. Lots of citrusy hops and some spice. Can’t say enough good things about this one!
