thefle (111), , New Jersey, USA Aug 30, 2009 I really enjoyed this beer, it had a unique flowery/ sweet taste to it that i have never had in an IPA. It was smoother than most and highly enjoyable, good spin on the IPA mkade8883 (52), Goleta, California, USA Aug 30, 2009 Bottle an extra in trade with changeup45. Thanks Garry!
Aroma: Beautiful. Excellent combination of floral and citrus hops with some malt notes.
Appearance: Golden/orange color, perfectly clear with 1-2 fingers of white head.
Flavor: Malt body and sweetness, orange hops, and a nice bitterness to balance. Enjoyable.
Palate: Medium to lively carbonation works well with this one. Clean finish leaves me wanting more.
Overall: Really nice IPA. Well-balanced with simple yet very enjoyable flavors. jport4087 (73), Pennsylvania, USA Aug 29, 2009 Hazy orange color. Strong floral hops and big citrus aroma, a lot of orange in this one. Taste of caramel malt and finishing with with the spicy bitterness of the hops, the orange flavors make it an interesting and enjoyable IPA. I had a lot of IPAs rated above this one, but this is my favorite triguy84 (54), Fitchburg, Wisconsin, USA Aug 26, 2009 I would consider this an APA, given the floral/citrusy hops. Spot on for the style - dark straw color, thin white head, fruity/floral/resinous hop aroma and flavor, bitterness lingers. Some malt flavor. If I start with this beer, I don’t get how good it is. If this is my second beer style of the night, wow, it really stands out. Brewbie (217), New York, USA Aug 25, 2009 12oz bottle. dark gold color, fluffy white head. big pine aroma. wonderful balance of hops and malt taste. delicious! great hops but not overpowering. AtomicYeti (3), Minnesota, USA does not count Aug 25, 2009 It doesn’t get much better than this. By far the best IPA I’ve ever had and IPA is my fav style. A great floral hop aroma and bitterness balance. ruskiimperial (51), Richmond, Virginia, USA Aug 23, 2009 The pour was a nice hazy orange, much like that of the sun of a late afternoon. There was about two fingers of head on this one, with some nice and somewhat long lasting lacing on the glass. The initial flavor is hoppy, and definitely on the floral side. The citrus is quite prevalent but not quite strong enough to overpower the more floral tastes. There is also a fair amount of a sweet malty backbone. All of these come together to produce a superb and extremely well balanced ipa.
