The mouth feel is creamy and the finish smooth with a slight hop bitterness. Very well balanced, it can stand up in flavor to some double IPA’s and is as refreshing as an american pale ale. drowland (1380), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

A great balance shows as it warms... oh boy this is a wonderful IPA that everyone should look for when it comes around. otterdog1 (1), Camden, Ohio, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Aug 14, 2009 This beer wowed me.Not what I expected. After my first drink I thought of that region of Michigan because,The first thing you smell as you roll into north Michigan is the pine forests.I’ve always looked forward to and lingered on the first real Smell of the pine forest on every Vacation My family and I take there. This beer does kind of grow on you as you drink it.bitter and citrusy.Give it a try I believe you will grow to like it. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Pours a nice, slightly hazy golden amber with a fairly thick off-white head. Aroma is fairly strong and quite hoppy, promising a good IPA. Flavor is strongly hoppy but only slightly bitter and has just a whisper of sweetness. Texture is smooth and fizzy, quite lively on the tongue. Beerowulf (10), , Indiana, USA

Perfectly hoppy befitting it’s IPA style. Love the packaging.
Pours about half-finger head, great lacing and mouthfeel. Floral accents and a great bite to it. One of my favorites. greencatfish (7), Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Aug 13, 2009 This has been and will remain one of the best IPA I have ever had. The balance between floral hops and bitters is just point on. One of the better examples of what can happen when hops are done right. The flavor of the beer leave you with little to no alch feel. If you are new to IPAs and want to start at the top this is one of them hrking (108), Muncie, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2009 This stuff runs out of the taps in my neck of the woods at the local downtown pubs like water. Though i’m not a huge fan of this ipa it is a good go to when your trying to figure out what to drink next. Has a bitter hop bite that i’m not fond of but does leave a semi pleasant aftertaste. Put it on your to try list! grebs (71), Ohio, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 11, 2009 The first time I had this I was unexcited. Perhaps it was the unappealing packaging. On tap, I had an epiphany. This is a great beer! Intensely hoppy but not overpowering by any means. Floral hops are there for flavor, not for hop’s sake. Full, yet refreshing. Very complex, yet balanced for its style. Absolutely a "go to" beer. An IPA by which to judge others.
