HORSECOCK (1), USA does not count Aug 4, 2009 Like drinking something made from Pine Sol, or maybe a pine tree air freshener. Nice color though.
Can this be right? Number 2 IPA on the charts? Are you all insane? What do you think an IPA is? It should make you cringe, not something to refresh your sensitive palates. I can name at least a dozen better and cheaper IPA brewers.
Your all sheep. beerwolf77 (42), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 4, 2009 Well here it goes. Poured into my pint glass the beer is a nice shade of gold/orange. The head is enormus. Bits of sticky lace remain after it settles down. The cap stays put on top of my glass holding in all the flavor. The smell is awesome. So piney. It has a strong grapefruit/ citrus smell as well. There’s also a lovely floral boquet that wafts up to my nose. The first sip is a punch inthe mouth. It tastes like the most floral christmas tree I’ve ever smelled. In a good way. So tart and bitter it makes me pucker. I love it. The feel seems very sticky and dry. It just sort of sets up shop in my mouth and stays there. I am really starting to appreciate hops. This beer does nothing but feed the fire that has been started. Bring on the big boys.
brokephibroke (137), Mead, Colorado, USA Aug 2, 2009 This is a world class beer and I thank Hopscotch profusily for the bottle! Pours a straw / orange thick brew with a robust cream head. Very aromatic: florals, pine a fresh citrus. Tart, balanced, creamy, drinkable with a huge hop aftertaste! Even get a taste of a little honey up front! A classic! eje (8), , New York, USA does not count Aug 2, 2009 Have had it bottled and draft, easily one of the best IPAs I have ever had. Bitter with a slightly sweet ending. Delicious. A 7.0% abv and so delicious = perfection. 13mikey (117), New Hope, Minnesota, USA Aug 1, 2009 Updated: Sep 22, 2009Pours with a nice orangish/brown color, foamy white head. Aroma is incredible, sweet citrus smell, lemon zest almost. Taste isn’t so sweet, bitter and hoppy and very good. Smooth finish, the lemon tinge seems to linger on the tongue. Excellent beer. Weedking4 (33), Stratford, Ontario, Canada Jul 31, 2009 Incredible beverage. Very tasty, and quite delicious. Amazing for the abv% considering..i wish we could get this beer in Canada. So refreshing. Where can I sign up for american citzenship? l1br4r14n (274), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jul 31, 2009 Draft. Pours clear copper with a foamy one finger head. Aroma is straight hops, grapefruit and grass. Flavor is huge hops, smooth and not too bitter, but hops with almost no mention of malt. rawhydes1 (3), , Pennsylvania, USA does not count Jul 31, 2009 12 oz bottle. Unfiltered/hazy appearance.
2 finger white head. Light, refreshing mouthfeel. Strong citrus and pine hop flavor with a long, dry finish.
