India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2012 From the tap and it is good. Can’t wait to have more. It outdistances many brews. Bells gets it right on this one. Aroma, taste, citrusy, all superb. Update: I bought a six pack because I hadn’t had a tha in a while, so it was a no brainer to buy some. There was little lacing and the flavor was lacking the important components. I wasted 12 dollars on bad brew. You can’t win them all. A new six pack was purchased and the same great ipa flavors with decent lacing. Two Hearted has good days and bad days, I spose. Had to lower the rating due to inconsistent quality. I will give them a break and the benefit of the doubt. Tough to beat Crooked Tree IPA from Dark Horse. Stone IPA is a great brew. Firehouse Union Jack IPA is one fine brew too.

1 pint can at home in Richmond, as ’Bells Two Hearted Ale’, 7%, under 3 months since canning. Dark brick orange, translucent, lightly sparkling, huge dense foamy cream head leaves very uniform lacing. Aroma is fresh and fruity - some pineapple and tangerine. Body is a little frothy and fizzy. Taste is toffee-sweet, strong piney hops, resin, candyfloss, grassy finish with a touch of spice, mint and booze. A real pine bomb. Good.

Bottle@home, from Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Medium/strong, wide aroma with sweeter malts and fruits in a balanced combination. Golden color with orange nuances on it. Medium, natural white head and slightly hazy liquid. Medium, balanced taste with sweet malts, apricot and quite a lot of hops. Fruity sweetness and malty aromas are in perfect combination, something between IPA and APA. Wide/medium taste spectrum and medium malty, slightly fruity aftertaste. Medium body with medium/light carbonation. Overall, more maltiness makes this product a bit different. Superb implementation makes it almost perfect.

Bottle. Stinky socks aroma. Thick mouthfeel dry noble hops then more and more layers slowly of bready hoppiness. Palate is long balanced hops. Not a palate wrecker whatsoever. Great ipa with a funky aroma.

Surprising light but fresh citrus/pine aroma. Tastes clean and citrusy, hints of pine, hints of caramel. Very well balanced and not overpowering. Clean and fresh and very nice and good.
