Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Rerate This stuff is now available regularly in these here parts and I actually broke down and bought a whole six. Have enjoyed each one more than the last - surely deserves to be rated as my highest IPA - up a notch or two. Aroma and flavor more intense yet so overwhelmingly well balanced. Original 4.1 Bottle overflowed upon opening - which led to a thick sticky white head. Orangeish hazy appearance. Very pleasing fresh citrusy aroma. Very thick mouthfeel - can almost chew it. Bittersweet citrusy flavor. Strong finish and also a lot of sediment remaining on the bottom of the glass. Overall, an excellent IPA from Bell’s - have not had a bad one yet from them.

Bottled(355ml). -Courtesy of heavy ( thanks!), shared with Doggythedog.
Murky orange coloured, medium sized white head, strong floral fruity nose (a bit unpleasant). Aromatic hoppy and fruity taste with notes of orange peel and touch of grapefruit in the finish.

12 oz bottle. Hazy orange color with thin white head that left a bit of lace on the glass. Distinct vegetal, floral hop aroma. The hops come out again in the flavor, of course, and are accompanied by an adequate, but marginalized malty backbone. Nice and bitter on the tongue.

12 oz bottle. Purchased at Chevy Chase Wine and Liquor in Washington DC. Pours straw colored with a large white head. The hop aroma is omniprescent I could smell it immediatley after the pour. The taste is hoppy and bitter with a lingering bitter edge. Its refreshing but sharp, not as drinkable as other IPAs, but definetly good.

Yeah this is a top notch IPA...Bells does it AGAIN. Beer pours a slightly cloudy golden/orange color with a medium white head. Aromas are hops, pine, and more hops! Flavor is delicious. Hoppy, faint hints on honey, light malt notes, perfect carbonation. Best IPA I have ever had I do believe.

Bottle. Lime, tangerine, and pine hops aroma. Hazy orange-amber with moderate head and nice lacing. Sligntly sweet tangerine flavor quickly followed by moderate pine hops. Strange finish - after swallowing get a watery slightly metallic taste with pine hops returning a few seconds later. Nice that its flavor isn’t the typical orange grapefruit.

Good head, thick lacing. Strong floral aroma. Hop finish. Not overpowering. Yummy and not one-dimensioned.

In the bottle at the 2005 Bad-burek party. If I had two hearts, I’d give them both to this beer. DELICIOUS! Looks like an IPA: amber with an off-white head. Taste is nearly unmatched. This is sweet, but balanced well with the hops. Outstanding smoothness, but with enough bittering units to remind you that you are drinking an IPA. Well worth the exhorbitant price charged by most liquor stores. UPDATE 11/2006: In the bottle at the Max & Joe’s Tavern Michigan Beer tasting (11/21/6). Such a delightful fresh hop aroma. A near perfect IPA.
