Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Nice citrus flavors up front. Pours a deep orange color with big foamy white head. Malty, piney, wood aromas. Slightly sweet with a good balance between the malt and hops.

Clear amber pour with foamy head. Initial hops fragrance is mind-numbing and piney-strong like gin. Flavor is very strong and bright, but cedar and spruce hoppy flavors overpower all other palate dimensions. Abrasive for casual IPA drinkers, but heaven for the intensely-hearted drinker.

A really amazing ale. A very unique hop aroma, I just sampled a 3 year old bottle and the hops are still there--and wonderful.

12oz - Very strong floral hop aroma. Smells fresh and sticky. Yellow-orange color with a medium head that quickly dissappear but leaves great lacing. Huge hop blast on the tounge with just enough malt to smooth it out. Sliky smooth going down and leaves a nice hop aftertatse. A very drinkable IPA I’m sure I will have much much more of.

I am IPA lover and this one is my beer of choice. Each and every time I pick one up I’m amazed all over again. If you are a fan of contennial hops(grapefruit, citrus, etc) this is the IPA for you. A pleasant blend of hops and malt, low enough in alcohol that you don’t have to be real careful with the number you consume, its one that I can enjoy a sixer of and not take leave of my senses.

On tap at Thirsty Troll Brewfest

This was the best beer available at the festival. I’ve had it a couple of times now; this was just as good as I remember it being in the past. Hopefully this makes as much money for Bell’s as it deserves. While it is not quite the best IPA (that honor currently goes to Alesmith) it is certainly not second rate. Not only is it excellent you should find it almost everywhere.

Aroma / Appearance - The golden yellow body had a nice tint as the sun trickled through it. A white clean head sat on top gracefully guarding the beer beneath. By now my nose was not quite as fresh as it was earlier in the afternoon but I was still able to pick up freshly mowed glass, orange rinds and aggressive hops.

Flavor / Palate - Bitter orange chocolate highlights the first sip. Next comes wheat and lemons mixed with dry spices. The hoppiness is very strong making this ideal for waking up the palate halfway through an evening. It is almost aggressive enough to be an imperial IPA but not quite.

Poured a cloudy orange yellow with a big thick creamy white head and thick lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, lemon and hops. Flavor is awesome.. bitter hops, citrus and grapefruit. All hops on the palate. This is a great beer! I wish they sold Bells out here!!

Enormously enjoyable. Dark amber or orange, almost clear, big light head. Hops and hops in the nose, but balanced taste of hops, malts, caramel sweetness, citrus, and a bitter finish. Among the best bottled IPAs, and the most better ones have been special edition cask IPAs that I have sampled at brewers.
