India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Draft at MOTR Pub at Scrawl concert on September 15, 2012. Medium amber color--or at least it appeared that way in the annoying green-tinted Rolling Rock glass it was served in, nice bittersweet aroma with pine and lots of citrus, small white head that slowly left with little lacing, solid bittersweet flavor that kind of creeps up on you, hops and malt well integrated.

Golden pour, white head. Nose is floral, sweet, a touch of coldcuts from the malts. Taste is mango, cold cuts, sweet malts, bready. Bitter finish. Very well balanced.

Bottled. Good for 7% but not 3rd best IPA in the world. standard IPA. Can’t tell the difference from any other IPA. Don’t know if it is me or the beer.

Gold...nice white head. Excellent floral nose. Great balance of floral and bittering hop tastes. Mild carbonation, creamy finish. Excellent lacing. A little thin towards the end.

Am I driven to rate this aroma high due to the general public? No, it is sweet and vibrant. Does this appearance fade into the chasm of normality? No, it is golden and translucent. Do I rate this taste high because everyone else does? No, it is a skilled battle between malt and hop, ----- My palate is pleased. My friends favorite beer might become my own.

Finally distributed in so cal. This s everything good I have heard. Perfect flavor and mouthfeel not too dry and definitely not sweet. Great. The aroma kicks you in face of grassy and pine, really a fantastic beer!

Aromas of clove and floral scents. A touch of bread notes. Some fruit, perhaps mango, but not particularly sweet. Color is an attractive copper with some cloudiness. Very little head what there is is fairly white. Taste: not much sweetness, a balanced bitterness that works very well. Medium body, texture is pretty middle-of-the-road. Carbonation is about average. Finish is long and pleasantly bitter. Overall this is a very good beer - complex and very nicely balanced.

A: Murky orange color with not much head but decent retention and lacing. S: Piney and tart hop aroma. Not much malty smell. T: Pronounced piney/fruity hop flavors. Slight maltiness tries to compete. Not a bad balance of the two. Very good tasting. The tartness is nice and refreshing. M: A little thick on the mouth with a resinous feel and a lingering hoppyness on the end. O: Good overall but not sure I would continue to purchase. Good change of pace for this lagerhead though.

Pours a dark orange with a finger of head. Nose is orange, floral hop, citrus, but of pine. Taste matches nose, lots of citrus, hop taste, citrus peel on the finish. Nice balanced crisp finish, not overly sweet or bitter. Good medium body. A very good easy drinking ipa.
