COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

What a beer. I can’t get this in Chicago, so whenever I get up to Michigan I always buy a six-pack. Color is gorgeous, aroma is incredible, and the taste is all hops with a good malt backbone. If you like IPA’s, this is the king.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2008 So, I went to my local sports bar, and much to my surprise, they had this on tap! So of course, it deserves a re-rate. It was just as hoppy, and citrusy, and heavenly as all the other times I’d had it from a bottle, but i think even a bit more so on tap. I think this will always be on my top 5 list, as it is THE most perfectly crafted beer I have ever had.

This is pretty much the best single IPA around in my opinion. It has great balance and a very clean finish.

Have had it bottled and draft, easily one of the best IPAs I have ever had. Bitter with a slightly sweet ending. Delicious. A 7.0% abv and so delicious = perfection.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2009 this is the beer God gives you in Heaven. does it require more input than this? I rated this as my first beer, completely biased as I had drank nothing but this for the last two years. re rated to a more acceptable level. still, Im pretty sure this is what God will give me to drink when I get there.
