In a world of many solid IPAs, this one still stands out as one of the most delicious and distinctive. Very close to a 5.0. greencatfish (10), Pennsylvania, USA

The balance between floral hops and bitters is just point on. One of the better examples of what can happen when hops are done right. The flavor of the beer leave you with little to no alch feel. If you are new to IPAs and want to start at the top this is one of them tdcritch (112), Missouri, USA

Smooth and crisp with a great citrus bitterness in the finish. Absolutely top notch. hooves (3), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jan 10, 2009 A favorite. Very tasty, not too thick, not too light. Love the northwoods style fish design! gyllenbock (370), Stockholm, Sweden

A lot of citrus, hops and pine.
The first thing I noticed in the taste was the delicious bitterness. But fortunately the beer was not only bitter, there was a nice balance and a certain sweetness.
Undeniably a great beer! DeadGirl (243), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Pours light golden, like an English Pale Ale, from the 12oz. bottle: Nose is an overall (and I can’t stop whiffing!) earthy effervesence with resin, grass and grapefruit peel amplifying a delicate euphoria of floral hops. Balanced and light and normally I don’t appresh light IPAs, but I’m not feeling like I’m missing out on hops here. Starts out medium and goes into a fuller body. Oily palatte. Drinkability: BOMBER- A good quality IPA. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Rebuy: Right away. #185 on 04112009, DG. amg800 (35), Ada, Michigan, USA

Full of flavor that is not too overwhelmning. Who can argue with a label decorated with a trout. I mean really is there a better tasting beer for that trip up north?
