Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Pours deep straw colored. 5 for appearance, definitely. Excellent head and lacing. Super hoppy, citrusy, floral, fruity aroma. 10 for aroma. Tastes very hoppy, with nice malt base. Finishes very smooth, with hints of hops, malt, citrus, and perfumy florals, with some Belgian white alishness and sweet candi sugar and fine chardonnay qualities. Super complex. Great beer. Bells is in my top 10 brewers of all time. My second 5.0 rating. Perhaps I put too much emphasis on complexity, but I cannot deduct any points on this one. Awesome!!

I’m not going to tell you what color this pours or what hints of what random fruit I get when I taste it. I’m simply going to tell you that this is one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Bell’s (or Kalamazoo Brewing Co.) is easily one of the best breweries in the country.

Magnificent head. Orange color slightly cloudy. The aroma is incredible. Not sure if I smell flowers or grapefruit or both. Just the right amount of malt and hops for me. Don’t think I’ve ever had anything this perfect. Everything an IPA should be. This may be my new favorite.

The best of the best; the creme de la creme; I get the pleasure of having cask conditioned 2H at a local pub; 2H in a bottle or on tap is amazing, but cask conditioned will blow your mind. With the CC you get much more of the true goodness - the flowery, citrusy taste will nicely coat your palate, without the typical hops explosion. I loved the beer before; now I am obsessed.

Bottle, batch 7397. Bought at brewery. This is my first 5 rating after 143 reviews. Complex smell and taste with bitter, sweet and fruit. I’m a big fan of Founders and Stones---but this is the best IPA!

Pours a creamy apricot color w/ a fuming full creamy froth. Head retention is superb leaving behind a latherous lace. Aromas of bright hop flowers and citrusy malts. Full nectar w/ ample residual effers creating a soft cotton texture. Flavors are bright and clean w/ a crisp, snappy hop profile. Flavors of Life Saver lemon drops, citrus rind, sodium, and mild caramel malts create this wonderful specimen in a league all it’s own, It’s not a malt bomb. All components are so well integrated I am left wondering how the heck do they do that ? The finish is long and is bittered better than well. I highly recommend this brew. it’s gotta be one of the best IPA’s I’ve had.
