Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

This one comes trade with Indra. Two Hearted IPA is terrific. Definitely one of the top 3 I’ve had. Hoppy, citrusy, big flavor, great malt. Bell’s stock in my opinion is a high riser. Started with a bad one and the rest just keep making me rethink my first impression of this brewer.

Wow. Okay, I see what the hype is all about now. This is an exceptional beer. Pours a cloudy amber with a huge head that lasted all the way through the beer leaving a nice lace pattern. Smells of floral hops and malt Tastes wonderful. Grapefruit from the hops and a bit of pine. A great IPA without being over the top. Plenty of sweetness from the hops to keep it ballanced. Mouthfeel is full and creamy. Drinkability is really good. A little bit of mineral mouthfeel would make this beer outstanding.

On draft at the St James Tavern in Columbus. Gorgeous pour; heavenly bouquet. This beer is dripping with hops: juicy, flowery, grapefruity hops. In Bells, the Midwest has a genuine treasure!

The Two Hearted poured a hazy golden color. It had a thick fluffy white head that had great retention and lacing.

The aroma was grapefruity, apricoty, piney hops. A little on the subdued side, but nice.

The flavor was grapefruity malts with a hoppy, bitter finish that dominated more as it sat and warmed. Just the right balance of hops, fruitiness and malts. It had a smooth and velvety mouthfeel.

Overall, an excellent IPA. A little more subdued than I expected, but very drinkable.

Lovely IPA. Current favorite for this hop head. Well balanced hops - citrusy with a bitter finish. Simply a joy to drink.

After a bad experience with their Cherry Stout I had to try something else a little more redeeming. This poured out a slightly murky golden orange with a tall white rocky head. As the head shrank into the body scattered lacing was left to coat the glass. Very hoppy aroma with citric and floral hops coming out in abundance. There was a slight hint of malt to it at times. Taste was very similar very hoppy all the way through this one with citric and earthy flavors coming together for a great taste. A bitter hoppy aftertaste is how this ended. Mouthfeel was creamy with about a medium body. I could drink this all day, great flavor and aroma too bad I only picked up 2 bottles. Highly recommend to all hop heads and anyone that likes a good brew.

A very nice pale orane color with the yeast adding a richer bronze color. Head is pale in color and generous, very dense. Aroma is characteristic of what I expect from this beer...huge perfumey, citrust, mixed fruit cup, Centenniel hop aroma. The yeast aroma is subdued. Solid bitterness, tasty orane hop/malt interaction, slight residual malt sweetness fights with the bitterness on the palate. Body is med/full and is swept away slowly by the bitterness. From start to finish the maltiness envelops the rest of the flavor characteristics. The bitterness smacks at the initial sip and remains throughout the beer and creates a cleansing finish accentuated by perfumey, ethereal hoppiness. The mid palate is dominated by the orangey malt/hop flavor interaction. The layers of flavor and complexity are amazing and intense. I could probably make this score a 5 if I rated this based upon the real ale version.

This beer hit me strong and hard on the first taste. Simply excellent. A hoppy flavor that I hadn’t tasted before. I enjoyed the slight fruity aftertaste. This is the best brew I have tasted. I cannot find anything wrong with this one.
