Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Very cloudy golden color with a tall foamy heady that would do a Duvel proud. The underlying natural carbonation is steady and delicate. The aroma is fresh hops with pine resin and hay. The taste is that of pine resin and pepper like hop heat tempered with the flavors of mandarin orange, caramel malt, and the gritty, earthy yeast. The beer is creamy smooth like a stick of butter melting on your tongue. This is a very good and well balanced IPA that lacks a lot of complexity, but turns that into a strength rather than a weakness.

bottled: now anything with a fish on the bottle i already start to become uninterested....why do so many american micros have a fasination with animals on the label....’think of something original you slackers’. was a golden color with a nice crisp white head. nose of grassy citrus notes. nicely hopped...not over the top and maybe not enough....the way i like them....smooth backbone of malt pushes the back door open to a slight bitter grapefruit end. all in all swell. not swill. ya! i just had this again in minnesota and thought it was fabulous...nice solid ipa flavors

Very hoppy, lots of citrus and spicey pine, but still very smooth. Slight chewy sweetness in the finish. AN excellent IPA for sure.

Ah IPA another of my favorite styles. I have managed to have this beer several times in the past but for some reason I have never managed to rate it. Sampled from a typical 12 oz brown bottle this fine beer poured a rich golden color with a medium sized yellow-white head. Very pretty. A strong grapefruit, pine and sweet sugary scent fairly explodes from the glass as one can smell this one before the glass is even taken in hand. The front taste is sweet and pear like with a thick mouthfeel. Then on comes full bore hops. Strong elements of grapefruit that become dominant and linger forever on the aftertaste. Really a very fine IPA.

Now this is what am IPA should be like. This thing is the best example of an IPA that I have had to date. Pours out a deep golden yellow color with a nice white head. Aroma is very floral and very hoppy. the taste is hoppy with a nice clean citrus finish. Superb beer!

Deep pale straw in color, with good head and lace that sticks. Beautiful floral hops aroma with a sweet nose. Rich and hoppy upfront and the hops really stick with you for minutes, slight sweetness that balances perfectly. My perfect session beer.

If you like hoppy ales, you’ll love this beer. Intense aroma coming from a thick head. Drink it slowly, enjoy the citric hop flavor filling the mouth and sinus cavities. Enjoy the mildly bitter aftertaste. Enjoy.
