India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

This is the best smelling ipa I’ve ever had. I can’t quite put my finger on the aroma... definitely some citrus, but there’s more. The taste is not overpowering. Very pleasant.

A: poured a beautiful golden orange with a huge frothy, white head and a ton of lacing S: as is the case with many top beers of this style, the beer gives off an ample floral aroma. I am definitely getting some slight citrus and/or coriander scents as well. Very appealing. T: A gorgeous wallop of hops smacks your tongue right off the bat, then the malts slip in to balance the overall flavor, and everything finishes at once, like a perfectly timed meal. Hop lovers will definitely want to grab this beer. M: Not a ton of body, a tiny bit thin, but overall very nice. D: Now here is where this beer truly shines. The excellent taste + reasonable alcohol content + an amazing level of refreshing qualities makes this an all-day drinker. Wonderful beer that I could and would go back to time & time again. Recommended.

Big piney lime aroma. Hops are very evident. Flavor is light, yet somehow packs in a lot of flavors. Pine, hops, lime and other citrus, sweet maltiness....but without big heavy bite. It’s still sticky, but not in an overbearing sense. Crisp dry finish. This is like diet IPA in that it is so much a session beer, despite it’s 7% (damn you Bells and your ability to mask alcohol). A staple as far as IPAs go. This is the real deal....still extremely enjoyable and stable as it warms up. This edges out the Titan from Great Divide, simply by beeing a smoother and lighter beer....oh and the obvious fact that the two hearted manages to slam you with so much hop flavor in the process. This stuff is simply incredible.

The aroma hits you as you pop the bottle cap. Wonderful floral and pine. Amber with a big fluffy head that laces nicely. Flavor mimics the aroma with some sweet malt and caramel. The hops last long after the beer is gone. Excellent.

Pours cloudy-yellow. VERY strong aroma of hops. If you are a fan of IPA’s this one is for you. Probably my favorite to drink. Great job Bells.

One of the best examples of a well balanced IPA. Pours a hazy golden orange with a foamy white head. Beautiful aroma of floral and citrus hops with a solid malt backbone. One of the smoothes easieest drinking IPAs I’ve ever had. A nice balance of maltiness and citrus and floral hops. Awesome!

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2010 bottle on 7/4/10. Two Hearted Ale lives up to its high ratings and praise among the craft beer community. It is a very well balanced IPA which delivers on all fronts. Two Hearted pours a deep yellow / light orange with a quarter inch white head. Light citrus hops, sweet caramel malts and big orange peel. Full mouthfeel with plenty of orange, lemon and light grapefruit hop notes followed by a smooth sweet malt backing towards the end. The malts really round everything out well and take this beer to a new level. Sweet and bitter finish. Love it!

bottle. Outstanding IPA from an extraordinary brewery. Solid body and hop character throughout. Pours a deep golden with a thin white head which becomes a thin white lacing. The hops come through on the nose as you take a sip and flow throughout the top and back of your mouth. Soft on the sides of the palate. Average carbonation.... very crisp and easily drinkable. Simply wonderful.

One of the best IPAs that I have ever had. Smells of hops and fruit and flowers. Taste is the same and leaves a very pleasent after taste in the mouth. I will certainly purchase this again and again.
