Nephilium (456), Ohio, USA Feb 1, 2007 The aroma is of grapefruit, it almost smells like a glass of grapefruit juice. It pours a slightly hazy amber, with a minimal head that quickly fades, leaving only lacing behind. The taste is of well balanced hops, blending citrus and bitter. The palate has the very slight hint of oils of a good IPA, and the finish is crisp. Another good addition from Bells.
pjweaver (125), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2009 Tulip glass.
Bitter flora aroma, hints of ruby grapefruit and some clementine. Pale caramel pour color, with a fluffy white head. Head is resilient. Great hopped IPA, with flavors matching the aroma. Gusgus (140), Tanumshede, Sweden Jan 3, 2009 Bottle at Akkurat 081227. Pours pale golden with thick white head. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon and floral perfume. Amazing mouthfeel, very pearly and velvety. Clean bitterness with a very dry finish. Slightly herbal hoppiness and some perfume. Clean and simple and very drinkable. BillKismet (1518), Seattle, Washington, USA Jan 3, 2009 Copper color with a thick shaving cream head. Nice piney hop bitterness swats at the nose. Flavor is crisp and characterized by a strong bitterness, probably healthy doses of Chinook. Some floral notes, but mostly a bitter monster. A tasty, bitter IPA brew. Slipstream (479), USA Jan 2, 2009 Sweet pine aroma, with some resin. Nice, simple label with a fish on it. Dark tan, greenish pour. Good flavor of pine, grass, and herbs. A good IPA, but a little overrated i.m.o. I have had many others that can compete with it. snook91901 (29), USA Dec 31, 2008 incredibly strong hop bouquet yet not brutally bitter. an excellent IPA, maybe the best I’ve had. orange color, off white abundant head that is fizzy rather than heavy or creamy (yet remains a surprisingly long time for such a head) and releases abundant hop.
