Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Dec 22, 2001 Updated: Mar 11, 2003 Quite the cloudy little burger this beer, the color a nice orange, the head gigantesque, spumescent, and as it dematerializes the lace magically appears as a silky sheet to occult the glass. The nose is dominated by the hop floral crispness; sweet malt underlies this olfactory delight. Start is sweet and malt laden, top is middling in feel, finish is moderately carbonated the hops puissant, aftertaste hop spicy and dry, quite long lasting, another beer meant for the “Hop Heads” amongst this most august group of beer lovers.
CapnJazz (11), Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 6, 2008 12 oz. bottle and on tap. Pour is a clear amber orange with a medium head. Bursts of fresh hops and citrus! Nice malty backbone with enough sweetness to carry along the hop presence. Never overbearing or random tasting, very focused, simple, and nearly perfect. Freshness is a key here, but not as much as with some IPA. Just extremely drinkable and enjoyable. Uaru02 (14), Simpsonville, Kentucky, USA Oct 3, 2008 Great IPA! Very flavorful. Great hop taste without being too bitter. Slightly sweet to impart a full flavor. A great beer! Moggman (40), Columbus, Ohio, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is citrus and hops. Flavor is not over hopped, finishes dry and light with balanced hop flavor. Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 2, 2008 Draught @ Cole’s. Clear golden with lots of lacing. Mellow hoppy aroma. Very leafy but not a lot of pine. Some citrus rind. Nice level of carbonation. Super dry and really mellow finish. Super smooth with an exceptionally delicious hop kiss. Really rindy. My kind of IPA. falkirk005 (21), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Oct 1, 2008 Beautiful pour with solid white head and faintly copper body. Aroma is enticing with hints of citrus. Can definitely taste the hops but they are not overwhelming. Crisp flavor with subtle sweetness always leaves me wanting more. This is an outstanding beer.
