A little jagged around the edges, but a fine brew none the less. This beer tastes more like apricots than some apricot beers I’ve tried. The alcohol is not well disguised; it rears up and gallups right out your nose in a hurry. Unfortunately, the splendid apricot nose becomes intwined with a piney, resinous middle hops taste, and the two just don’t jibe. Think of apricot jam smeared over a pine cone, and doused with Grand Marnier.

Aug 17, 2008 Had this in a bottle at Monks in Philly. Not a big IPA like many of its competitors, this beer is very easy to drink. Bitterness dominates the hop ballance, it is a very complex malt profile.

Aug 17, 2008 12oz. bottle. Served in bottle. Swirling the bottle produces a creamy non-persistent head. Aroma of toasted malt, floral hops and a touch of orange. Taste is more of the same, yet I think a bit light on the hops for an IPA. Silky smooth light-medium body, nicely bitter, very drinkable.

Aug 16, 2008 bottle thanks to kosko20. nice light amber color with a white head that dissipates into floaties. very easy on the palate on the palate with a very smooth hop flavor that is quite nice.

Aug 16, 2008 Bottle, aroma of pure christmas tree goodness, pours a nice cloudy golden color with a fluffy head. First tried this beer while camping drinking from a bottle and thought it was amazing now that I can properly drink it, its even better. Such a rich strong palate, a burst of hops its a really nice brew, alcohol is well hidden, substantial complexity. Very,very nice brew. Bells is just an amazing brewery.
