Traditional in concept with a Two Roads twist…dry hops. We use a combination of classic German as well as American hop and malt varieties in our Pils. We renovated a 100 year-old factory building and designed this Pils to have “extra” aroma…so, pardon the pun! Crisp…refreshing…refined.

Bottle from Nikki’s Liquors. Gotta give some props - this is very well done in its style. Clear light gold - yellow pour with a pure white head. Nice grassy and herbal nose - clean. Taste has some grassy bitterness, hint of sweetness, clean and crisp. Great execution.

Clear, pale golden. Extremely floral, like chinese tea, chrysantemum, rosehips. Like drinking flowers. Quite bitter, needs more malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear pale yellow color with foamy white head. Aroma is lemon, floral hop, and herbal yeast. Flavor is very dry grassy malt, lemon, herbal notes, floral hop finish with dry yeasty spiciness. This is a fine Pilsner.

A super dry and super hoppy Pils. This may be a little bit more hopped than a typical Pils, but who cares? The hops they use appear to be Noble, and not the type of hops one would associate with a west coast IPA (which many American craft-brewers do with their versions of Pils). Very lingering but not overpowering bitterness. Dry. This is a very fine attempt at a German Pils, something I have rarely encountered with other attempts from American brewers. Perhaps the best American Pils I have had, even better than the slightly over-hyped Heater Allen. Bravo to this Connecticut brewer. I will have to try more of their brews, because if you can make a great Pils, then you can make anything.

(Rating #6288)

Can in a mixed 12 pack thanks to Clay. Pours a hazy golden with light white head. Aroma is lemon and hay with a slight citrus hop. Taste is sweet, almost a little sour pils. Hops are there but nothing super hoppy.

Dry finish. A little thin. A little over hopped for a pilsner. Drinkable but not great.

Pours a dark straw from a can with significant white head with medium bubbles. Aroma is slightly like moist leaves, flavor is crisp clean malt, covered over with a slightly mildewy blanket or something like that, just a little bit funky. Okay beer.
