Roadsmary’s Baby is a traditional pumpkin ale with a Two Roads spin, it’s aged in rum barrels for added complexity and depth of flavor. The result is a smooth drinking ale with notes of pumpkin, spices, vanilla, oak and a touch of rum.

Tap at Yankee lobster. Dark copper, medium head. Pumpkin spice nose but stickier. Heavier and boozier than others in style. Finish has a bite. High sugar, molasses. A unique pumpkin beer.

Pretty good pumpkin other than a weird astringency in the aroma. Clear burnt orange with tan head. Pumpkin and balanced spices.

Pours burnt orange w/ a white head & not much lacing. Aroma is robustly full of spices. Taste is full of spice w/ a bit of uniqueness - possibly the rum barrel? It’s really light in body & making it dangerously drinksble @ nearly 7%. Good stuff!

Appearance: Copper, low carbonation without any real head.
Nose: Spices, pumpkin, pale mat and vanilla notes.
Taste: Pale malt, spices, slightly sweet, slight bitterness at the end.
Palate: Thin, a little spicy on the tongue. Overall: Malt totally underdeveloped in this one, spices are dominant. Too thin, makes me think of a less malty Belgian Ale. Rum barrels? I think they didn’t use them for the first in this batch...

12oz can found hiding in the deep crevasses of my beer fridge. Pours a dark Amber color with a small beige head of foam. Aroma of cinnamon, pumpkin, urinal cake, potpourri, vanilla, and caramel malt. Taste of grass, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, toasted grain, caramel malt, and light rum barrel notes. Not bad for a six month old pumpkin beer.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass. The appearance is a murky golden brown with a small white head. The aroma is very hoppy with a hint of cinnamon. I couldn’t detect a pumpkin aroma. The taste was fair, pumpkin was noted along with a rum aftertaste. Overall, an average beer.
