COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional farmhouse ale made with a very expressive yeast strain that contributes an array of tropical fruit, spice flavors and aromatics. Brewed with a variety of harvest grains including barley, wheat, oats and rye as was likely the case with farmhouse brewers of yore. The result is a complex, refreshing and distinctive example of this esoteric style. Intensely fruity (passion fruit, pineapple, mango, lychee), slightly spicy (clove, white pepper)

Pours a hazy pils yellow with a whote head that quickly dissipates leaving no lacing. The aroma is faint yeast and malt. The palate is medium body. Taste is a spicy citrus. 12 oz bottle I appreciate a low gravity saison. Anyway, if it was brewed for the workers, why do it at high gravity? Appears self-defeating or this a modern take on it?

My Bottom Line:
Important cloves and bubblegum smear honey-laced straw before herbal hops conclude each sip.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the misty pale straw.
-The soft prickling of carbonation could be more expansive (for the style).
-The cloves are quite intense in the nose.
-Drinkability remains high throughout.

On tap at the brewery taproom.

Poured from bottle, orangeish color with big thick white head. Aroma is clove, oranges and spice. Good amount of carbonation. Taste is complex: melon, pineapple, clove and spices.

Direct from bootle in MacBoost’s car on way back from Hill Farmstead. Big banana, bubble gum nose. Lemon zest, banana, clove and a little spiceyness. Dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Clear gold with a thick foamy white head. Aroma is floral, oat and clove. Taste adds pineapple, mango, banana and pepper. Medium-thin mouthfeel and light carb. Complex but very drinkable.

Pours a slightly hazed gold into a tulip. Bright white head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Banana and bubblegum aromas. Dry with sweet bubblegum and peppery clove upfront turning to mild tropical fruit in the lasting finish.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, medium and a bit gushing bubbly head, light cloudy yellow color, yeasty aroma with cheesy notes and a hint of glue, flavour of almond with some fruits, medium piercing, but quite pleasant sourness. Nice.
