3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 18/20
Reminds me of Christmas, probably due to the spruce taste it has. Such a taste masked the slight bitterness and any other flavorings. Enjoyable nonetheless.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
355 ml bottle @ Timo A. Bottled on 08.01.2015.
Pours pale clear golden color with a very small head. Fruity aroma, herbal with grassy tones, pineapple and mandarin. Flavor is quite sweet fruity flavor, pineapple and orange, peach and some herbal spiciness. Slightly tart palate, dry finish. Aftertaste is very short. The age doesn’t show in this that much, okay light Saison.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle pour into tulip glass. Appearance is hazy yellow (yeast is held in suspension so it looks like egg white or smoke hanging in the air) with 1-2 finger-width foamy white head with poor retention and no lacing. No sparkle. Aroma is mild Belgian yeast and associated fruity esters, crackers. Taste is mix of fruity sweet dominant over tart, maybe some mild pepper. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and lively-to-fizzy carbonation. Overall, on the money for the style but a bit on the light side with mild aroma and taste with thin palate. From the look, I was expecting something a little thicker.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 fl. oz. bottle bought at Bierzwerg bottle shop, Greven. Unclear pale orange in the glass, small white head. Wheat, yeast and some fruit on the nose. Taste is fruity, pleasant sweetness, little bit dry, wheat. Some spicy hints in the background. Light, refreshing and easy to drink in a positive way.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I love a good Saison, and this one fits the bill. It’s dark in color and full in flavor, but it isn’t quite as strong as some other saisons are in terms of spice or hop. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it does stand out compared to other saisons in that regard.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A- pours a clear golden yellow with a finger of loose white head that dissipates to a thin ring. Minor lacing.
S- lots of orange candies and lemon zest. Some kiwi. Caramel malts and cloves. Fairly straight forward. Blossoms and rose petals. Lavender perfume.
M- light syrupy and tacky body with some carb.
T- lots of muddled orange and lemon pith mixed with a malty backbone Too bitter to call it juicy. Grasses and cloves with coriander and diet 7up. Ending is dry with zincs and lime.
Enjoyable on a hot day but not going to knock your socks off.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy golden color with a one finger white foamy head that quickly concaves to leave a film of a cap of a head. Lacing is mostly few and far between.
The smell had some light of tropical fruit, and peppery spice. After a bit of warming, there’s some rye malt.
The taste was basically the same with an added sweet breadiness intertwining and leading into the aftertaste. There’s a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the spice to hit a bit harder for the harshness level of this beer.
Overall, whoah, better than expected from Two Roads. I’d have this again, nice saison leaning to the spicier side of the wheelhouse.
