3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle direct from the brewery. Poured a relatively clear light brown with a white, short-lived head. There is a citrus aroma with a hint of spicy bitterness, more reminiscent of a dry hopped IPA. The hops combine well to produce a nice, flavourful refreshing bitterness. Iím not sure what hops were used but the floral taste dominates this ale and lingers around on the palate for a short while too. This is a quality session ale thatís different enough from most other English bitters to make it attractive.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Pub du Vin Birmingham. A golden beer with a white head and lacing. An odd fruity beer. Bruised plums (ooer) and rubbery sweetness. Not awful but by no means spot on.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned at The Hotel du Vin, Birmingham. Gold with white head. Bready malts initially, grainy, bitter, then a leafy hoppy bitterness. A little fungal in character, yeasty, but overall quite decent.
