A crisp light ale loaded with grapefruit flavours with a long hoppy finish yielded by the traditional English hops and careful brewing management.

Bottle direct from the brewery. A very clear, light golden brown pour with a thin white head. The aroma certainly isn’t strong, but there are floral and citrus notes hiding away in there. A clean refreshing medium bitterness in the taste where the slightly floral side of the ale comes through on the palate. A nice session ale for sure, but needs to be a bit more innovative to win prizes.

Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, fruity, bright nuts, light hoppy. Cask (GBBF2011, Thursday)
Apple seed aroma. Pungent hoppiness. Big bitter bite. Doesn’t have the balance I like. Seems to just be relying on cascade to make a dull beer interesting. Cascade hasn’t done that for years.
