COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
1999 Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal Winner (German Style Kolsch Category). Tworow pale malt and malted wheat are used in the mash. Light in color and body, this beer is crisp and refreshing with a moderate hop bitterness. The pleasant floral hop finish comes from the use of hops grown in the Pacific Northwest.

A sub par wheat beer with a nice color and aroma. The beer is nothing special in my book and I find it hard to describe. It does look nice, especially with the lemon, but the taste is dull and way to crisp. There is no aftertaste. The beer is malty and sweet, but not as sweet as the other Two Rows wheat beers or anyother wheat beer. Maybe i expect more but this beer was very disappointing.

From draft sampler at Two Rows in Allen, Texas (suburban Dallas). Medium yellow color, light to moderate "beery" aroma, finally some hoppiness from a Two Rows beer to go along with pretty good malt flavor. Still a bit underwhelming, though.

On tap at the restaurant. Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is dry, bready, and kinda sharp. Taste is wheat, hop spice, kinda citrus, and dry grain.

Tap at Allen. Pours a fairly clear yellow color with sediment from the lemon slice. Sweet citric acid aroma. Some grain. Flavor is sharp citrus with grains.

On tap at the Allen location. Served with a slice of lemon. The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is fairly faint, but what is present mainly consists of wheat. The flavor is a mix of wheat, grassy hops and lemons. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nothing special here and nothing to seek out.

Light yellow with a thin white head. Nose is clean dried fruits, faint malts and not much else. Not bad on the palate, flavor is fruits, grain, and malts.

(draught) clearish pale yellow, ring of white bubbles. Nose is fruity and sweet grains. Taste of golden raisins, sweet grain mash, florals and a light well carbonated finish.

On tap at Two Rows in Allen, TX. Waiter tried telling me that this was a clear hefe, anyway, pours a clear yellow with white head. Aroma was a little odd, but not bad, I can not really explain it except for some lemon citris notes. Flavor was much the same, seemed very complex, different spices and citris notes, different. Also had a unique bitterness. Palate is light and high carbonation. Over all, not bad, just different.

Tap @ brew pub: Pale yellow with an off-white head. Aroma of butter and garlic . . . is this how beer is supposed to smell and taste? Did someone switch out my beer with movie popcorn butter? Nasty taste. The feel is slick and waxy! Supposedly their best seller.

Tap @ Brewpub with Nuffield. Rating from 2004 notes. A light american wheat like aroma and flavor with a clean floral finish.
